As the new driving force for the rapid development of the 21 st century,information technology is gradually seeping into all walks of life and becoming a new force in promoting the development of related industries.In education,inquiry teaching supported by information technology is very popular and applied to everyday teaching."Ordinary high school mathematics curriculum standards(experiment)" promotes teacher-leading,student-independent exploration of learning methods,and emphasizes the rational use of information technology in mathematics courses.It can be seen that inquiry teaching under the support of information technology is a new teaching method.The methods used in this study are mainly literature methods,questionnaires,case analysis methods,and classroom observation methods.To investigate and research on problems existing in the inquiring teaching in senior high school mathematics supported by information technology.By issuing and retrieving questionnaires,the teacher questionnaires and student questionnaires were analyzed separately.The details are as follows: teachers and students’ understanding of information technology-assisted inquiry teaching;the status of different types(or content)of mathematics inquiry teaching under the support of information technology;difficulties encountered by teachers in the use of information technology for inquiry teaching;The effect of high school mathematics inquiry teaching under the support of information technology.Based on the existing problems in the investigation,the following countermeasures are proposed: creating teaching situation and perceiving the charm of inquiry;using different information to improve the efficiency of inquiry through information technology;improving teachers’ ability to use information technology and exploring skills through special training;Create conditions and opportunities for the use of information technology and actively invest in inquiry-based teaching.The study found that information technology has brought great changes to inquiry teaching and has been welcomed by teachers and students.The specific recommendations are as follows: to strengthen the training of teachers’ information technology capabilities and inquiry capabilities;to develop students’ awareness of using mathematical information to conduct mathematical exploration;to adjust teaching modules,increase class hours,and to provide time for exploring inquiry teaching;to improve teaching facilities and open teaching resources.
