The content of high school functions is often a difficult part of teaching.How to make students understand and use function knowledge to solve mathematics problems is a difficult teaching task.Freudenthal's education theory can guide the teaching of high school functions today.This study applies Freudenthal's mathematics education theory to function teaching in order to change and promote the traditional function teaching methods.After consulting a large amount of data,the author found that although there are many scholars who have studied Freudenthal's mathematics education theory and high school function teaching,the research on combining the two is still at a blank stage.Therefore,this study uses the methods of literature analysis,questionnaires,interviews,investigations and experimental studies to interpret Freudenthal's mathematics education theory and previous research on his theory.According to its main theories: mathematical reality,mathematics,recreation and reflection,the teaching principles,tactics and teaching basic link design used in high school function teaching are given,and the application effect is tested through teaching practice.The application of Freudenthal's theory provides some inspiration and reference.The author uses experiment method to carry out teaching practice.Through the analysis of student test results,it is found that applying Freidenthal education theory to functional teaching contributes to the overall progress of students' level,among which the achievement of middle and upper middle school students The improvement effect is significant,but it has little effect on the achievement of students in the middle and lower schools.The results show that Freudenthal's theory can improve the effect of classroom teaching and has guiding significance for the change of functional teaching mode.However,in order to make the classroom teaching model based on this theory more perfect and apply to more mathematics content teaching,it needs further study.Extensive practical research.
