“Cultivating talents is fundamental of the country”,in order to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,we must rely on the training of talents.In accordance with the strategy of promoting the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,universities should make efforts to improve the quality of personnel training.Nowadays,in ideological field,all kinds of ideas exchange,clash and blend with each other,the characteristics of students' thinking and behaviors have deeply changes,which lead to traditional model of education and management can't adapt well to the practical needs of personnel training already.Counselors assume a heavy responsibility of training qualified builders and reliable successors who have strong communist ideals for socialist countries,who should dig into educational elements deeply and firmly establish cultivation concept that educating student through service.In practical work,counselors should adhere to a concept which involves “taking students as fundamentals of education,taking service as sticking point,cultivating people with high standards of ethics”.Building a working model combine education,management and student service.Considering the trend of comprehensive reform in universities with the new situation,this thesis,by studying on documents and the results of theoretical and practical research about student affairs and services in foreign and china counselors' function,also study on the job content,implementation path,level evaluation system of college counselors' service function comprehensively.The content of this thesis are as follows:The first chapter discusses the domestic and foreign related research reviews,selected topics,significance,research ideas,methods and innovations.The second chapter reviews the history of the developmentof the counselors' system,divides the development of the instructor's functions according to the work undertaken by college counselors at different historical stages scientifically,and analyzes the current status of each function.The third chapter is based on the "Regulations on the Construction of Counselors for Regular Higher Education Institutions" and the "Professional Ability Standards of College Counselors",by analyzing and integrating the services involved in nine professional functions of the counselors,the main contents of the counselor service functions are refined,and the service levels that any part of work content should been reached are graded.The fourth chapter deconstructs nine work contents of college counselors,and then restructures them into a “five in one” path which includes ideological and political education leading service platform,academic counseling service platform,daily affairs service platform,mental health and development service platform,and career planning and employment guidance service platform to achieve the counselors' service function.Based on this research,the fifth chapter preliminarily constructs a system for assessing the level of service performance of college counselors covering 13 evaluation indicators and 36 observation sites.The sixth chapter takes the Shaanxi University of Science and Technology as an example to verify the theoretical proof of the integrity of college counselors' service function and how to implement the path of “five in one” counselors' service function.The seventh chapter points out the insufficiency of the research and the prospect of future research.This thesis has two innovations,one is dividing service content and service levels based on the documents,another is by referencing relevant research results at home and abroad,deconstructing the nine work contents of college counselors,and then reconstructing them into a more systematic way of fulfilling the service function of the “five in one” counselors with certain guiding significance,which create a more effective theoretical guidance and action paradigm to solve the function confusion of college counselors,increasingly prominent problem of student training quality,and innovate the "people-oriented" concept oftalent cultivation.
