| The comprehensive strength of a country is closely related its scientific level,and the scientific development relies on talents,of which scientific education is an important foundation for the training of related talents.In 1996,the OECD National Conference of Education Ministers pointed out that lifelong learning shall include formal education,informal education and non-official education.As a kind of non-official education,scientific education plays can enable players to acquire knowledge and skills unconsciously through entertainment,which generate the effect that cannot be achieved by the official education such as science courses.Science education plays are the products of combing plays with scientific education.That is to say,the design of a scientific education play that meets the characteristics of young people by proper use of its entertainment and easy investment will open up a new path for scientific learning.This paper mainly can be divided into the five parts as follows:Part 1 introduces the reason and background of the topic selection,and summarizes the development of scientific education plays at home and abroad.Part 2 explains the concepts of plays,educational plays,and scientific education plays,along with the characteristics as well as classification of scientific educational plays.Meanwhile,it discusses the four theoretical foundations for exploring and designing scientific education plays,including situational learning theory,immersion theory and learn through play theory.Part 3 analyzes principles,elements and framework of scientific education plays.Meanwhile,it introduces classic scientific education play called Moonbase Alpha,and emphatically analyzes the application of situation learning theory and immersion theory in this scientific education play.In part 4,a scientific education play called Environmental Guardian is designed,which includes play introduction(play theme,play tasks and play engine,etc.),technical problems in play design,application of three theoretical foundations in play design,and the educational significance of this scientific education play.Part 5 proposes the shortcomings in this research and makes outlook on the development of scientific education plays. |
