With Chinese economic and cultural strength being stronger and stronger,Chinese is spreading all over the world.Thailand is increasingly paying much attention to the learning of Chinese,making a wave of learning it in the nationwide primary and senior schools.There is a long history of teaching Chinese in Thailand and Chinese schools,the pioneers of Chinese teaching,has it owns educational mode and status.It is because these school's promotion on Chinese education that it laid a solid foundation in Thailand and it has a promising future.I was lucky enough to be a volunteer in Thailand to make a contribution in teaching Chinese in a eastern Chinese school.Wutthiwitthaya School 2 is a Chinese school with more than sixty years' history.During my ten-month stay there,I have found there were many problems in class like talking,students copying homework,sleeping in class,etc.These problems affect the teaching procedures negatively.In this research,I have done an investigation on the mentioned problems by visiting and interviewing teachers and students in junior section.Combined with the practical experience,related books and the investigation results,sets up the strategies.I did a research on both students and teachers in Wutthiwitthaya School 2 in the methods of questionnaire and interview and the result shows:1.Students' problems in the junior section are manifested either externally or internally,both of which are universal and occur highly centered.Compared with external problems,the internal ones occur more often.This means problems in Chinese class of Wutthiwitthaya School 2 hide themselves well.Although they do not disturb the teaching procedure,the class atmosphere and students' learning efficiency have been severely affected.2.The questionnaire shows the reasons to these problems vary,ranging from the classroom,individual issue which are the main reasons to the school,teachers and students' families.Based on the results,I proposed some suggestions from these aspects to prevent and deal with these issues,which I hope can shed some light on Chinese teachers' management of their class.
