A new round of education reform is quietly coming,the new education and teaching reform put forward higher requirements for the core qualities of students.The newest general high school Biology curriculum standard promulgated in 2017 made a request for the core qualities of Biology.The core qualities of Biology is the gradual development of students in the course of Biology learning,and the essential ability to solve practical problems.Life concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry and social responsibility are included in core qualities of Biology.High school students are at an important stage of their life development,thus,understanding the current situation of core qualities of Biology in high school is of great importance for their development.On the basic of the constructivism theory,STS theory and lifelong education theory,the research analyzed the current research status of core qualities of Biology by literature research methods.At the same time,a questionnaire survey was used to conduct questionnaire surveys for all senior high school students in the internship high school,and conducted in-depth interviews with some of the biology teachers.Aiming at the current development of the core literacy of high school students' biological disciplines,the case analysis method is used to combine effective teaching cases to propose an effective high school biology classroom teaching strategy.The study found that most of the current papers on the core qualities of Biology are theoretical studies.The survey results showed that present high school students have a limit understanding about the core qualities of Biology.Students,access to biological science was relatively broad but their concern about the biology-related topic was not too high.What's more,the overwhelming majority of high school students attached importance to their scientific thinking and developed them actively.There was also a big gap in the level of development of core qualities of high school students who choose different subjects.In the interview with biological teachers,biological teachers have a deeper understanding of the core qualities of disciplines.They fully affirmed the necessity of cultivating high school students' core qualities in Biology and adopted a variety of strategies in their daily teaching to improve students'core qualities.After summarizing and analyzing the current development status and existing problems of the core qualities of high school students in Biology,here are some teaching strategies.Firstly,using inquiring teaching trains students' autonomous learning.Secondly,applying problem string teaching stimulates students' scientific thinking.Thirdly,carrying out effective biological experiment teaching improves students' scientific inquiry.At last,creating a real teaching situation arouses students' interest in learning.In addition,the teaching of history of science,the organization of student debates,discussion methods,discovery teaching methods,and simulation teaching methods are also common teaching strategies in biology classroom teaching in high schools.The research is of great significance to the daily teaching and educational research of the first-line biological teachers,and valuable to the development and reform of Biology teaching in senior high schools.
