With the deepening of the process of building an innovative country in China,the important issue of improving our research and innovation capacity has been attracting the attention and continuous attention.Higher education as a higher level education in the whole education system shoulders a crucial responsibility and mission.However,the increasing number of future builders have entered the queue of "phubber".College students have poor research ability in different degrees,lack of new ideas and value for academic dissertations,and have a series of problems in the quality of paper writing.In the traditional classroom,a series of problems have hindered the students' individualized development and the promotion of creativity.Therefore,it is urgent to explore the innovative teaching mode of College Students' research ability training.Under the background,the research team of Professor Zhang Yi in Central China Normal University has constructed the APT teaching model under the information environment.The team advocates the full integration of the assessment,pedagogy and technology in the teaching practice,emphasizing the importance of the assessment.The rubric is one of the effective ways to evaluate learning performance.It can also guide and promote learners' learning before publication of learning activities.In this study,an APT teaching model based on the rubrics was developed to enhance college students' research ability and a quasi-experiment was carried out to explore the effects.A total of 78 sophomores who studied in Central China Normal University participated in this study.The students in the experimental group used the rubrics before designing the research proposal,while those in the control group used the rubrics after finishing them.Quantitative analysis combined with qualitative analysis was used to examine the research ability,learning achievement and learning motivation.The results showed that:(1)The APT teaching based on the rubrics can improve the learning achievement,and it is more effective to use the rubrics before tasks.(2)The APT teaching based on the rubrics can improve the research ability,and it is more effective to use the rubrics before tasks.(3)Using the rubrics before tasks can significantly stimulate college students' surface learning motivation.(4)College students have more positive attitudes toward using the rubrics before tasks,but it may occupy too much time to be used to understand and use the gauges;the APT teaching based on the rubrics gives the students a good course experience.
