The purpose of this study is to explore the application effect and educational value of point-geometry in education through empirical research.Point-geometry is a new geometric system recently proposed.According to the requirements of educational mathematics,it is necessary to verify whether point-geometry is more suitable geometry for teaching and learning.In the current middle school mathematics teaching,students have learned geometry systems of plane geometry and plane vector.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the current learning situation of students before carrying out teaching research on point-geometry.The necessity and importance of Educational Research on point-geometry are further explained through the results of the survey.In this study,the questionnaire survey method was used to investigate the students' learning situation.In addition,the method of teaching experiment and interview was used to explore the application effect of point-geometry in teaching.Therefore,this study mainly involves three parts:1)Research one;The investigation of the learning situation.The students' plane geometry and plane vector learning are investigated,so as to analyze the students'understanding and mastery of these two parts.According to the results of the survey,it is necessary to analyze whether students need to introduce the geometry system that is more suitable for teaching and learning;2)Research two:Experimental research on point-geometry teaching.to test the actual teaching effect of geometry and the learning effect of students through the tests after teaching experiments.to examine the students' understanding and grasp of point-geometry after teaching,and the effect of applying point-geometry method to solve problems;2)Research three:Investigation and Research on interview.Through the method of semi structural interview,we know the students' general views on point-geometry learning and their views on the application of point-geometry knowledge after learning some geometric knowledge.After the above three parts of research,the following conclusions have been drawn:Firstly It is necessary to introduce a more suitable geometry system for middle school mathematics teaching and learning.It is found that students are not good at studying plane geometry and plane vectors.plane geometry is not easy to understand and master.There are also some problems in the plane vector:the concept is blurred,the theorem is difficult to understand thoroughly,and the method of solving problems is not easy to master.Therefore,it is necessary for students to introduce a geometric system that is more suitable for teaching and learning.Secondly The application of point-geometry to education is better.Through practical teaching,it is found that students understand and grasp the geometry of points better.The concept and symbol of point-geometry theory system are relatively simple,and its rules and properties are easy to understand.At the same time,the law and nature are widely applicable and practical.It provides a simpler and more general method of solving problems and improves students' problem-solving level.In interviews,students generally expressed that it is not difficult to understand and grasp point geometry.It is easier to solve problems by using point geometry method.In general,the application of point geometry in teaching is better.
