A Comparative Study On The Content Of Plane Analytic Geometry In Senior High School Mathematics Textbooks Between People's Education Press A And Shanghai Education Press

Analytic geometry is a compulsory content for students to study mathematics in high school,and it is also a compulsory content in the college entrance examination.Students find it very difficult to learn analytic geometry.People's Education Press A is the most widely used textbook in China,and Shanghai Education Press is the representative textbook in developed areas of China.Therefore,this study selects the high school mathematics textbooks of People's Education Press A and Shanghai Education Press as the sample textbooks.The research content is plane analytic geometry,which is mainly compared from the macro and micro aspects.The macro comparison is made from the column setting,chart,chapter directory and main content of the textbooks;the micro comparison is made from the core concepts,knowledge points,examples and exercises.The selected research tools are concept map and comprehensive difficulty model of exercises.Use research tools to conduct qualitative and quantitative comparative analysis based on research content.After a comparative study of the content of plane analytic geometry in the two editions of the textbooks,the following conclusions:(1)In the column setting of two versions of textbooks,the column setting type of People's Education Press A is richer than that of the Shanghai Education Press;and the number of column settings is more than that of the Shanghai Education Press.The version of People's Education Press A can arouse students' reading interest more than the Shanghai Education Press.(2)There is no significant difference in the number of charts used in the content of plane analytic geometry between the two versions.The feature of People's Education Press A is to insert information technology pictures into the teaching materials and pay attention to the application of information technology in teaching.(3)In the arrangement of chapter contents,People's Education Press A takes "circle" as a separate chapter,while Shanghai Education Press combines "circle" and "Conic Curve and equation" into a chapter,which shows that People's Education Press A arranges knowledge in a special to general form,while Shanghai Education Press pays more attention to the integrity of knowledge in the arrangement of knowledge;The teaching materials of the Shanghai Education Press lack the connection between mathematics knowledge and the students' real life,and the teaching materials of the People's Education Press A attaches great importance to this aspect.(4)In terms of content selection,vector content appears in the straight line part of the teaching material of the Shanghai Education Press,while the People's Education Press A does not introduce vector-related mathematics in the straight part;the teaching material of the People's Education Press A has a wider knowledge than the teaching material of the Shanghai Education Press,the depth is deeper than the teaching material of Shanghai Education Press.(5)The number of examples of People's Education Press A is close to that of Shanghai Education Press.The characteristics of People's Education Press A are that some examples provide problem-solving analysis,and there are no inquiry type examples in both versions.The purpose of examples is to consolidate concepts and formulas.The comprehensiveness of examples of Shanghai Education Press is stronger than that of People's Education Press A,and the difficulty of examples is more difficult than that of People's Education Press A.(6)There are more exercises in Shanghai Education Press than People's Education Press A,and the distribution ratio of "exercises","exercise problems" and "review questions" in the two versions is about 3:5:2.In the type of exercises,the two versions mainly focus on solving problems,and People's Education Press A pays more attention to the cultivation of students' drawing ability than Shanghai Education Press.In the difficulty of exercises,the teaching materials of People's Education Press A and Shanghai Education Press have a high level of "operation" and "reasoning".The results show that the two versions are at the lowest level in terms of "background" factor;the Shanghai Education Press is a little more difficult than the People's Education Press A in terms of exercise difficulty,and the two versions are more emphasis on the calculation and reasoning of exercises.According to the conclusions of the research,the author puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of People's Education Press A edition textbook:optimizing the knowledge structure;providing more detailed operation steps for the application of information technology;keeping pace with the times in the background materials of the textbook,enriching the types of exercises,and connecting with the college entrance examination.Suggestions are put forward for the compilation of the textbook of Shanghai Education Press: pay attention to the application of information technology in the textbook;enrich the types of examples and exercises,use the background materials that keep pace with the times,and increase the number of inquiry examples and exercises.
