The teaching and research activity is a special educational phenomenon in the field of education.It is important for a teacher's professional improvement and development.The establishment of a profound teaching and research system is an effective mechanism for improving the teaching quality.A few characteristics such as flexibility,diversity and long-term nature have been identified for the teaching and research activities.The challenge of research on teaching and research activities is that it is difficult to grasp the emphasis and ensure time consistency of such research.Differences between teaching and research activities in different regions and at different education stages have been observed.Based on the above observation,a study investing the status of current or planned music teaching and research activities in a primary school in Wuhan city is conducted.The study is carried out from the academic perspective and examined the teaching and research activities under the guidance of the teaching and research staff of Wuhan.The study aims to identify some valuable and common issues with current music teaching and activities and make recommendations on the sustainable development of music teaching and research activities in primary schools based on attribution analysis.This article includes three sections:introduction,body and conclusion.Firstly,the introduction section provides an overview of the research background,the content and the purpose of this study.It introduces the definitions of relevant concepts,summarises the current research status of teaching and research activities,and presents the research methodology and research method.Secondly,the body section includes three chapters.The first chapter introduces the theoretical framework of the teaching and research activities,describes the development process of the teaching and research activities and presents the current operating modes.The second chapter discusses the status,problems and attribution research of the teaching and research activities by conducting surveys to the primary school music teachers in Wuhan,analysing the case study of the third primary school in Caidian,and visiting the representatives and music teaching researchers and teachers of Wuhan primary School.This chapter also provides an analysis of the current issues based on the information collected from the case study.The third chapter provides strategies and future research suggestions based the study of the music teaching and research activities in primary schools in Wuhan.The recommended strategies are particularly focused on the problems identified in the second chapter.The conclusion summaries the study outcome and recognises the limitation of this study,and identifies the research opportunities for future research.
