In recent years,a large number of rural populations have flooded into cities, which has indirectly created an increasingly tense situation in the urban employment market. In addition, with the gradual improvement of the market economic system in China, many enterprises have implemented the policy of downsizing for efficiency and industrial restructuring adjustment policy, which has further aggravated the imbalance of the labor demand and supply.Under the circumstance,as a means of livelihood, the bazaar-type economy has also intensified in major cities, and this phenomenon has also received widespread attention from scholars. There have been many researches focusing on these aspects, such as the analysis of the street vendor in the survival and management, group characteristic, the discussion on the governance models and so on in recent years. However, there is a lack of research on the social integration of the street vendors. Therefore, the article is devoted to exploring the city integration problem of the migrant vendors.First of all, this article expounds the research background and the relevant research states, and explains the theoretical basis, research methods and ideas and the basic information of the field survey.Secondly, this article clarifies the marginal situation of the street vendors, including the marginalization they faced at institutional, cultural, social, and economic levels.Their marginal situation and low self-identity contribute to the perception of feeling on the edge of the city.Next,it analyzes the strategy choice of the migrant vendors in the marginal situation. This article finds that they take the strategies of making the positive cognition of their self-identity,shaping a good group survival strategy to consolidate themselves, absorbing the urban culture actively, widening their interpersonal circle and using their own social capital effectively to improve their own state. Then, based on the interview data, this article discusses the individual factors for the city integration of migrant street vendors and analyzes their integration condition in aspects of economy, culture, community and mentality. It is believed that the economic integration of the vendors in the city is relatively good and has realized the basic integration;in the aspect of social and cultural integration,it needs to be strengthened and is in a state of "semi-integration";in terms of psychological integration,it is difficult for most vendors to find a sense of belonging, and there is a feeling that they want to enter the mainstream of society but cannot be integrated, which is equal to the state of "semi-integration".This may be the influenced by pressure and the traditional concept of returning home.On the whole, migrant vendors are in a state of"semi-integration" in the city. Finally, this article makes a summary about the city integration of street vendors and puts forward some suggestions. In order to be truly assimilated into the city, street vendors need to make their efforts, and the government should give policy support.
