Liang Yuandong(1901-1968),a famous historian in China in the 1930 s,was mainly engaged in the study of Chinese political and social history,historiography,history teaching,textbook writing,etc.He had written extensively and has studied extensively.The development of history education in secondary schools has had an important impact.In the turbulent and complex social situation at that time,Liang Yuandong had a strong sense of urgency and patriotism.He published papers in various literature and history magazines,scrutinized current events,and discussed the development status and direction of Chinese society with scholars at the time,hoping to awaken people,especially the student's attention to current social events.Under the combined effect of the historical responsibility sense inspired by the times and his profound historical accumulation,Liang Yuandong had a deep understanding of the development of middle school history education.In the long-term education and teaching practice,he gradually formed a relatively complete theory of middle school history education.This article takes Liang Yuandong's academic activities and the history textbooks written by him as research subjects and conducts a relatively comprehensive inquiry into the causes and contents of his historical education thoughts in middle school.He tries to objectively and truly summarize Liang Yuandong's middle school history education thoughts.In order to accurately highlight the uniqueness of Liang Yuandong Middle School's history education ideas,it analyzes the influence and value of the historical education ideas of the school on the historical education at that time and now.Liang Yuandong has a profound background in history.He had been familiar with the four books and the five classics since he was a child,playing a good foundation for reading ancient books and laying a good foundation for the later study of ancient history.He teached in various schools and had rich experience in teaching practice,providing preliminary development conditions for the formation of the history education ideas in the school.The content of Liang Yuandong's history education thoughts are mainly based on his junior high school history textbooks.He explored the ideological connotations of Liang Yuandong's history education in secondary schools.From this,it can be found that Liang Yuandong pays great attention to the construction and compilation of historical textbooks.Curriculum standards,in the compilation of textbooks,follow the following principles: pay attention to the details of the content of the teaching materials,persist in seeking truth from facts,pay attention to material marking and design corresponding after-school exercises,etc.The textbooks compiled meet the needs of social development and school development at that time;It also attached great importance to the study of ethnic issues in historical textbooks,showed students the characteristics of Chinese national culture and ethnic development,and awakened the Chinese who were in aggression and situational chaos and had led the people to stand up against foreign aggression.In addition,Liang Yuandong also attached great importance to the cultivation of students' history view,showed students diversity of historical views,explained the rationality and inadequacies of various historical perspectives for students,provided reference for students,trained students to treat historical evaluation correctly,and in the teaching process,students were provided with reading materials for extracurricular reading to expand their knowledge and improve their ability to collect and analyze historical data.Liang Yuandong opposed the war and politics in the content of middle school history teaching.He advocated that the ancient emperors should not be the main actors and pay attention to the evolution of social life.In the compilation of middle school history textbooks,he fully considered the situation and social development at that time,put forward the principle of seeking truth from facts,diversified teaching content,and had an important impact on the development of history education in middle schools in the 1930 s.The theory guides the practice and studies Liang Yuandong's middle school history education thoughts to better guide the development of history education in middle schools.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,the research on the history education thought of Liangyuandong Middle School is undoubtedly important.Learning from the teaching experience of Liangyuandong Middle School will help boost the development of history education in middle schools.
