Over the past decade,various international curriculum projects have gradually entered into China.Among them,the development of IBPYP projects is the fastest,and there has been a "PYP fever" in the field of basic education in China.However,some problems also arise.Although PYP is an international curriculum framework,"immigration" to China,a strong cultural background,is hard to avoid "acclimatized" at the beginning,such as the lack of theoretical knowledge and the complete separation of practice and local curriculum.The central issue of this study is: what challenges will be faced in the process of the localization of PYP and the corresponding strategies to deal with these battles.This study mainly uses action research method and case analysis method of two kinds of research methods,in-depth analysis of the old PYP curriculum framework of the nuclear value,further analysis of IBPYP encountered in the process of localization problems and the corresponding solving strategy,in order to provide a broader space for the continued development of PYP in Chinese,introduction other international courses provide a theoretical reference.This paper introduces the IB international course project concept,objectives and main contents,and points out that the IB programme in international background of globalization,the constructivist theory of knowledge sharing and cooperation based on the theory of multiple intelligences: individualized training of international feelings,all-round development and lifelong learning.IB international course project at present,more and more,the international course of IB project of Guangzhou X primary school as an example to analyze the implementation of IB international project localization management status,a detailed analysis of the concept of education internationalization,X primary school teachers with the IB project and training,curriculum development and curriculum characteristics,cooperative teaching mode,the role of parents.On the premise of acknowledging its good social response,we summarize the problems in the development process,including three aspects: the challenges of cross cultural management communication,the challenges of interdisciplinary theme education system and integrity,and the challenges of teachers' professional competence.Aiming at several problems,we put forward countermeasures and suggestions for localization of IB international curriculum,including cognition,leadership and team building,and integrity of management system.We strive to provide reference for X primary school and the implementation of IB international courses in our country.
