There is a disconnect between junior and high school geography teaching for a long time Junior high school students will not to learn geography for one or two years after graduation examination.So after entering high school,Many students have geography learning difficulties.The author found that there are a variety of reasons for junior and high school geography teaching isn’ t well link up.First,junior and high school geography teaching are independent.Junior and high school geography teaching don’ t have universal standards.Communication between junior and high school geography teacher isn’ t very common.Second,Junior high school geography teaching implementation does not reach the designated position Junior school students in the process of geography learning is influenced by graduation examination,geography is sidelined.Many students spend a short period of time to recite in order to cope with the examination and Ignore the cultivation of students’geographical thinking and learning ability.Third,there are large difference between junior and high school geography curriculum.Many of freshman in high school feel uncomfortable with geography learning.Due to natural geographic parts pay more attention to the ability of logical thinking and space imagination and comprehensive analysis,this part is the big challenge for the students that accustomed to recite.So the author chooses to study the linkage between junior and high school geography.By collecting relevant data the author has found that many teachers and scholars realized there are a lot of problems between junior and high school geography cohesion,after the curriculum reform.Then,they propose some suggestions like:Reform the teaching system,awareness-raising the teaching cohesion,Select the appropriate connection mode and so on.But the effect is not so effective.Students weak link still exist.And every student will face similar problems.So,In this paper,the author study the engagement of junior and high school geography teaching from the angle of the specific implementation especially in the high school geography teaching.The author choose the weather and climate part as the research object,because of the weather and climate knowledge in middle school geography learning phase has very important position.The author does the survey through the way of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview with students,and the questionnaire makes a larger proportion.The investigation discovered that high school students don’t have a clear understanding of basic knowledge and basic skills before learning high school geography weather climate part.But the high school geography teacher thinks students foundation is very good.Therefore,the author use the following three links to consolidate the basic knowledge of students and improve students’ geographical thinking ability.These three links are:Pre-school survey,Reviews the knowledge before the class,Self-questioning.Through these way students can improve learning efficiency and autonomous ability.
