In 2014,the national ministry of education of the People's Republic of China introduced the college entrance examination(CEE)reform's plans,which requires the deepening of the high school geography curriculum reform and the further improvement of teaching.With the release of “the Ordinary High School Geographical Curriculum new Standard(2017 edition)”,the cultivation of geographical core literacy became an important research topic for geography educators.there are a lot of charts involved In the textbooks of geography 1 and geography 2,therfore it is a worthy research how to cultivate high school students' comprehensive thinking in using charts scientifically.Through the questionnaire analysis of more than 400 students at four high schools in hunan province,the results show the teaching methods is relatively single in using maps;Students lack multi-factor comprehensive thinking;it needs to be improved for students in reading gograghy charts;The comprehensive thinking level of geography is positively correlated with the ability on solving geographic problems.Teaching does not pay attention to the regional scale;Lack of effective training methods in comprehensive thinking.According to the analysis of the survey results and the high school geographic required textbooks,and read the new curriculum standards,six strategies are put forward for the scientific use ways of geographical charts,which influence comprehensive thinking in teaching level,and four implementation Suggestions are put forward in the level of school and the teacher team.The comparative analysis of the cases is further.The conclusion is drawn from the above research: first,thedifference of students' cognitive level affects the cultivation of comprehensive thinking;Secondly,it is found that the use of geographical charts not only cultivates students' comprehensive thinking,but also improves teachers' professional skills.Third,the four parts of the core geographic literacy are interrelated each other;Fourth,the school should attach great importance to develop internal and external geography curriculum.
