Curriculum standards for general high school geography(2017 editions)clearly emphasizes practical activities as an important way to develop students' geographic practical literacy and encourages colleges and universities to carry out a wide variety of practical activities in authentic environments.As one of the important forms of geographic practical activities,the geographic investigation is an important way to obtain geographic data and form geographic thinking.The study of effective teaching strategies for geographic investigation activities in high school geography teaching is of great significance in further implementing geography curriculum standards,improving geography teaching methods,and cultivating students' core geographic literacy.The literature research method was used to analyze the content of geographic investigation activities,and it was found that most of the current studies were on the topics,components,investigation evaluation,and case design of geographic investigation activities,and the research content was more inclined to human geography,while there was less research on the conceptual characteristics,teaching strategies and physical geography issues of geographic investigation activities,which was not conducive to the application and development of geographic investigation activities.Based on the analysis of relevant literature,this study elaborates on the concept of geographical investigation and its characteristics.The questionnaire interview method was used to investigate the current situation of geography investigation activities carried out by high school students and teachers.Through the summary analysis of the survey data,it was found that geography investigation activities in high school geography teaching still exist: the degree of attention is low and the number of times they are carried out is low;the number of class hours scheduled for geography subjects is low and the length of the activities is limited;teachers' concept of practical teaching is still shallow,their practical teaching experience is insufficient and their level of instructional skills is low;teaching The problems include the single form of evaluation and the serious formalization of the investigation process.Based on the existing problems and their analysis,this study proposes to deeply explore the value of geography investigation activities in educating people,raise the attention of schools,teachers,and parents,stimulating students' geographical curiosity and increasing their interest in geographical investigation,strengthen the training of teachers' practical teaching skills and improve the level of practical teaching,deeply study the geography curriculum standards and teaching materials,clarify the awareness of investigation problems and formulate a perfect investigation plan,reasonably arrange the investigation The study also investigates the teaching strategies such as arranging the investigation time,preparing the investigation work,ensuring students' safety and developing the investigation evaluation scale to improve the evaluation system of investigation activities.This study integrates and develops curriculum resources suitable for conducting geography investigation activities in Rizhao,and designs practical cases of investigation activities in conjunction with geography standards and textbooks,intending to provide a reference for front-line teachers to organize and conduct investigation activities,helping students to enhance their interest in learning geography,deepen their understanding and mastery of geography knowledge,and cultivate students' core literacy in geography.
