Objective:The effect of 12 weeks progressive elastic band resistance training on the heart rate variability of healthy elderly people was observed by experimental methods, and the improvement of cardiac autonomic nervous system and the promoting effect on cardiovascular health of the elderly were discussed according to this method, and the application of resistance training in the scientific fitness of the elderly was applied. It provides a theoretical basis and provides scientific basis and theoretical reference for evaluating the fitness effect of heart rate variability. Methods:In this paper, the methods of documentation, experiment and mathematical statistics are used. The subjects were 40 elderly people, aged between 65-80 years old.All subjects had no serious disease affecting exercise ability and normal metabolism. The experimental group was randomly divided into 20 control groups. The experimental group was trained for 12 weeks of elastic band resistance,3 times a week,1 hours each time,9 movements each time,2-3 groups were repeated 8-12 times each, and the resistance strength was controlled by changing the number of elastic band(green 15 pounds, yellow 18 pounds, and 22 lbs),every 4 weeks based on the control The subjects adjusted their adaptability to the original intensity once, while the control group maintained their original lifestyle. The heart rate variability was tested by heart rate variability test before and after the start of the experiment, and the data were statistically analyzed. Results:After 12 weeks of progressive elastic band resistance training intervention, the time domain index RMSSD increased from 42.05+8.43 to 46.27+7.74,and the effect was 5.22.The results showed significant difference(P < 0.01).The time domain index PNN50 increased from 10.54 + 3.95 to 11.42 + 3.88,and the effect was 0.88,and the result was significant difference(P<0.05).The time domain index SDNN increased from 44.51+6.85to47.30+5.25,and the effect was 2.79.The results showed significant difference.Compared with the control group, the three time domain indexes improved significantly(P<0.01),and the LF index of the experimental group declined from379.33+137.88 to 375.49+139.66.The effect was-3.84,and there was a significant difference(P<0.01);the HF index of the experimental group rose from 398.68+152.64 to 402.81+152.16,and the effect was 4.13,and there was a very significant difference(P<0.01).The LF/HF index of the experimental group decreased from2.81+2.68to2.46+2.45,the effect volume was-0.35,and there was no significant difference.Compared with the control group, the frequency domain index LF was significantly different(P < 0.01),and there was no significant difference between HF and LF/HF(P > 0.05).Conclusions and Suggestion:The 12 week progressive elastic band resistance training can effectively improve the heart rate variability, improve the activity of the vagus nerve and reduce the sympathetic activity, thus improve the control ability of the autonomic nervous system on the heart and the protection of the cardiovascular system, reduce the risk ofcardiovascular disease, and the sympathetic parasympathetic nerve. The equilibrium state tends to develop in the direction of parasympathetic dominance, but it can not effectively improve the balance of sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves.
