Life is precious and worthy of our respect and cherish.With spiritual and social life,humankind does not only need to protect the flesh,but also to enrich the spiritual and social part of it,and to realize life value.As College students who are in the"sunrise period" of life,they need to understand and treat life correctly,so that their life can be planned and lived in a responsible manner.Thus,the nature of human life itself appeals colleges for the implementation of "Life Education" theoretically,and some life-ignoring phenomena in colleges make it even more urgent.Although there are many ways to implement Life Education,it is an important way to abstract and modernize the reasonable components of the traditional view of life and death.Chinese traditional culture is extensive and profound.In particular,the concepts of life and death in Confucianism,Buddhism,and Taoism contain abundant wisdom in life.Their unique views on the nature,value,and meaning of life and death provide modern people with great insights.These ideological resources also have important reference significance for the theory and practice of contemporary Life Education in colleges.For this reason,this article attempts to use Chinese traditional life and death views(which are best represented by Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism)as ideological resources.By analyzing the difference among Confucian,Buddhist and Taoist views on life and death,comparing the features of life and death views in China and the west,as well as describing the existent problems in Colleges'Life Education,the author hopes to explore the enlightenment of Chinese traditional outlook of life and death on contemporary college Life Education.
