At present,with rapid development of society,the competition in education industry gradually heats up,especially in the field of extracurricular tutorship.What are the reasons for the booming of extracurricular tutorship?What are its positive and negative effects?How do we reasonably coordinate the relationship between extracurricular tutorship and school education?The serious analysis of this educational phenomenon can help us find problems and shortcomings in school education,help teachers and education management departments reflect on school education and help students and parents correctly understand and select extracurricular tutorship in order to ultimately achieve the common goal of increasing students' academic performance.Extracurricular tutoring in this paper refers to the extratutoring that students take advantage of extracurricular time,in addition to regular school education,to attend autonomously,aimed at improving academic performance or cultivating specialties.Through the questionnaire survey and interviews,we analyze the basic status of junior middle school students' participation in extracurricular tutoring,propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,and elaborate respectively from several aspects,including parents and students,educational administration departments and schools.The investigation draws conclusions as follows.The number of students taking part in tutorial classes is in direct proportional to the grade they are in.According to the survey,the proportion is larger for students attending tutorial classes if their grade is higher;mathematics and English are the most popular subjects for students to take part in tutorials;the highest intensity to attend extracurricular tutoring is in the holidays;diverse teaching modes of extracurricular tutoring classes has not achieved,and most of them adopt the teaching mode based on explanation;the effect of taking part in extracurricular guidance is not generally convincing,extracurricular tutoring classes can not suit all students' needs to improve their academic performance;family economic situation determines the form and proportion of students'participation in extracurricular tutoring,the higher family income,the greater of the proportion for students to participate in extracurricular tutoring.
