In the field of education,history,as a humanities subject,bears the important responsibility of patriotic education.Since the new curriculum reform,history subjects have put forward higher requirements for students' learning ability of history.In order to improve the learning ability of junior high school students about history,it is far from enough to rely on textbook knowledge alone.The combination of in-class and out of class history technology is also required.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction part mainly describes the reason,research status,concept definition,theoretical basis,research methods and innovation.The text part mainly presents the necessity and possibility of the junior high school students' history extracurricular reading,the analysis of the current situation of junior high school students' extracurricular reading of history,and the strategies of junior high school students' history extracurricular reading.In the first chapter,the necessity of extracurricular reading of history is mainly discussed from six aspects: Junior high school students' humanities,history textbook requirements,junior high school students' historical interest,junior high school students with "learning difficulties",junior high school students' hometown history requirements,and historical materials for the Suining area entrance examination.And the possibility of extracurricular reading of history is mainly expounded from five aspects: the time resources as the basis,indirect interest as the driving force,reading atmosphere as the edification,school platform as the support and history teachers as the guidance.In the second chapter,taking three key middle schools in Suining as examples,this paper uses the methods of literature and questionnaire to investigate and analyze the current situation of junior middle school students' history extracurricular reading under the new curriculum standard in Suining City,and finds some problems.1.Insufficient demonstration support from external subjects;2.Students' lack of planning for extracurricular reading time and content of history;3.Reading selection tends to be entertaining;4.Imperfect guidance and evaluation mechanism.In the third chapter,in view of the problems in the investigation of junior high school students' history extracurricular reading,the author puts forward suggestions from the following five aspects,hoping to provide a reference for history text reading extracurricular activities in Suining urban key middle schools,history teachers to guide junior high school students,and junior high school students to read history extracurricular readings independently.1.Demonstration support for external subjects: change the parents' attitude towards learning and do a good example of history learning;establish a characteristic school and pay attention to reading outside of history.2.Reasonable planning for history extracurricular reading: pinpoint the direction and overall planning;determine books and rational planning.3.The motivation of historical extracurricular reading: optimizing teaching and activating interest;discovering teaching and inspiring thinking;cooperative exploration and creating atmosphere.4.Guidance on the methods of reading out of history: selecting reading materials and adhering to principles;recommending reading materials from various angles;5.The improvement of historical extracurricular reading evaluation mechanism.
