Research Of The Cross-cultural Adaptability Of The Muslim International Students

More and more Muslim students come to China to study and live,their adaptation and psychology are worthy of our attention.Through in-depth interviews and participatory observation,this paper makes a thorough study of the Muslim students in Jilin University.Starting from the daily life of Muslim students,we have studied the learning,living and psychological status of Muslim students in China,and analyzed the factors that influence the intercultural adaptation of Muslim students,as well as the form and characteristics of Muslim students' interpersonal interaction.The main findings are as follows: Muslim students' social adjustment disorders are mainly in several aspects: cross-cultural social adaptation,psychological adaptation and social interpersonal relationship.The study found that culture shock is a full range of perception.Although the participants from different cultural circles,representing different cultural groups,in the face of Chinese social culture,they can easily produce some common "symptoms",which are manifested in language,school,interpersonal interaction,psychological state and so on.In this survey,there are some differences in the adaptation status of overseas students in China.The most important factors affecting adaptation are internal(interpersonal)and external(social environment)conditions.From the perspective of individual factors,the factors such as gender,time to come to China,Chinese level,purpose and expectation before coming to China have significant influence on the adjustment of overseas students.Among the external factors,Chinese culture and value conflict factors,stereotyped factors and stereotypes,and social support obtained by foreign students have the greatest influence on their adaptation.On the basis of this research,I combine with some cross-cultural communication theories,and think about all aspects of foreign students,Chinese students themselves and university management,and put forward some problems that need furtherdiscussion in the future.
