Research On Medical Social Work Embedding In Mental Rehabilitation Hospitals

With the current improvement in people's material living standards and the gradual pursuit of mental health and the increasingly diversified needs for mental health,medical social work is increasingly receiving attention as a general trend.Based on the successful experiences of S-city and other regions,W-city also started its pilot work on medical social work under the initiative of the Bureau of Civil Affairs since 2012.As one of the first batch of pilot units,Y Hospital has successfully incorporated medical social work into the hospital in the context of government promotion and the strong sense of the hospital.Service-oriented and mission-oriented goals have been achieved.This article takes Y hospital as the research object,uses the participation observation method,the second-hand data analysis method and the interview method to collect the data and analyze it.The article mainly focuses on the embedding of medical social work in mental rehabilitation hospitals.Specifically,it includes the predicament of the status of Y hospitals and medical operations,the process,effects,and influencing factors of medical social work embedded in Y hospitals,and the embedding path summary.At the end of the article,the W-city participating units in the same period were taken as examples to reflect on the embedded environment.The study found that medical social work as an embedded subject is a mechanism and possibility for successful embedding in a mental rehabilitation hospital as an embedded subject.After comparing the embedded environment of several other general hospitals in W and W in Shanghai and in the central region,the author believes that social work can be successfully embedded in Y hospitals from the three dimensions of system,service,and values.There are three factors that affect the embedding effect.They are:The Civil Affairs Bureau actively promotes and promotes the development of social work;Y hospitals have the characteristics of medical institutions in mental health;the project services purchased by the government have achieved remarkable results.Finally,suggestions were made:the municipal government should increase support from top-level design,the meso-level hospitals need to enhance their awareness of embeddedness,and the micro-level social workers themselves should strengthen professional capacity building.Therefore,through this study,we can provide reference for the embedded development of medical social work in mental rehabilitation hospitals.
