Teaching concept and new textbooks have been updated,promoted and generally accepted since the advancement of new curriculum reforms.The subject of history occupies a prominent position in middle school education and teaching because of its rich and multidisciplinary knowledge as well as helping to cultivate and improve the learning ability and humanistic accomplishment of the students.There is a need to address the issue for history teaching about how to guarantee the reservation of students'history knowledge,but also cultivate their interests,ability and literacy,about how to promote teachers to take full advantage of teaching resources scientifically and reasonably in order to improve the teachers' ability and level but also teaching effectiveness.The author thinks,history teachers should pay more attention to the teaching design of history.Only when they keep learning the related theory and method and then put them into the teaching practice in class,in the meantime fumbling,summarizing and rethinking to improve the quality of the teaching design can they ensure that the teaching benefits teachers as well as students.The history teaching design is a process that teachers program the teaching activities that will be carried out in class according to the teaching theory and personal experience so as to achieve the purpose of teaching and improve the teaching effectiveness.This paper selects the tenth lesson in unit four of senior high school history textbook of PEP edition "the Opium War" to analyze the related teaching design cases deeply and to sum up respective pros and cons,and next on this basis to design a teaching case myself,hoping to probe with the other educators or teachers and contribute to improve history teaching level.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part is the comparing analysis on three teaching design cases of "the Opium War".The author selects three teaching design cases based on his own needs to compare and analyze from different objectives.We can experience personalized teaching styles and diversified teaching thoughts at the same time we can sum up respective pros and cons,and then learn and absorb experience.The second part presents a meticulous teaching design case of "the Opium War" from the author.He analyzes and designs control the demands of the Curriculum standards and every link of the teaching design including the analysis of teaching content and object,default of the teaching objectives and emphasis,teaching strategy and evaluation,etc.which combined with methods of teaching design,experience of senior teachers and personal ideas.The third part is about the practise and reflection of this teaching design case.First of all,a complete implementation is presented after being carried out in class.And then the author gives a reflection and summary based on teaching effectiveness of class,students' feedback and teacher colleagues' comments.Ultimately,the author also talks about his own realization and inspirations.
