The core literacy of Chinese students' development is to cultivate "people of all-round development".The key of implementing core literacy lies in teaching,and the core of teaching lies in the classroom.All disciplines have the obligation and function of cultivating core literacy.With its specificity of experimentation,chemistry can promote students' ability of critical thinking and solving problem by experimental innovation and development.The author has been engaged in front-line education for many years and has initiated reflections on the series of issues exposed in the "comprehensive quality examination" of the annual senior high school entrance examination—what kind of people do we want to cultivate?Based on the research of the core literacy and performance evaluation related theories,and relying on the teaching activities of"promoting classroom teaching reform" carried out in Yinchuan City,Ningxia,the performance evaluation tool of the chemistry inquiry experiment and its application in teaching under the educational concept of "Core Literacy" were explored.This research provides effective teaching instruction for the author's first-line experimental teaching and reference for peer experimental teaching,finally promotes the teaching reform of junior middle school chemistry teaching experiment.The article includes five parts.The first part mainly describes the problems,background,significance and methodology of the research.The second part is the summary of international and domestic research status of core literacy and the definition of related concepts.The third part summarizes the relevant theories of the performance evaluation for junior high school chemistry exploratory experiments,and we designed objective and content framework of performance evaluation based on the following aspects:the 2011 edition of the "Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education Chemistry",the evaluation criteria for chemical experiment activities,the interpretation of the core indicators of the "promotion of classroom teaching reform" established by combing with the characteristics of the city,and the theoretical basis of "Chinese students development core literacy".The framework shows good reliability and validity.In the fourth part,by using the performance evaluation framework designed in Chapter 3,we designed performance evaluation scales for two junior middle school chemistry exploratory experiments named by "inhaled air and exhaled gas exploration"and "combustion conditions".The comparative analysis of two classes from both horizontal and vertical dimensions demonstrates the actual teaching significance of the performance evaluation framework.The fifth part is the summary and introspection about this research.By performing literature research and theoretical analysis,we obtained 13 content frameworks for four aspects including experimental attitude,design,implementation,and communication in chemistry exploratory experiments of junior middle school by using the performance evaluation tool.The horizontal and vertical comparison of the experiments showed that the two classes with equivalent overall performance produced significant differences in the experimental teaching process with or without the guidance of the performance evaluation tool.In addition,deficiencies of the research is summarized.Due to various reasons,the application of performance evaluation in the education field in the new era is still in its infancy.The introduction of the performance evaluation into teaching provides an effective way for the implementation of cultivation plan of"overall developed talents".We hope that frontline educators and research experts can work together to continuously advance the in-depth development of performance evaluation.
