"Bringing Automobile To The Countryside" And The Change Of Peasants' Daily Life Space

Under the background of rapid industrialization and urbanization in China,the countryside has been deeply affected and experienced radical changes,the changes in the countryside have been brought into focus gradually.With the rapid development of society,the living standards of peasants have improved,and the vehicles of peasants have also undergone tremendous changes.The automobile entered the ordinary family of peasants,and showed the trend of generalization.Based on space theory and related research findings,this paper explores the influence of "bringing automobile to the countryside" on the peasants' daily life space from the perspective of Society-Space by making a survey on villagers in T village of Hubei province and using field interviews method.The result finds that "bringing automobile to the countryside" extends the peasants' daily life space to a certain degree,which is shown in living space,working space,consumption space and communication space.At the same time,"bringing automobile to the countryside" is also formed under the influence of peasants' daily life space.The spatial factors are reflected in the improvement of the countryside road network and the lack of supporting facilities.Social factors include policy,livelihood,face mechanism,and marriage demand.Under the dual factors of society and space,the automobile is gradually generalized in the peasants' daily life space.Through analyzing the factors that affect the peasants bringing automobile to the countryside,it is found that "bringing automobile to the countryside" extends the peasants' daily life space and satisfies the peasants' pursuit of good life and development opportunities,and the automobile also intensifies the decline of the peasants' daily life space,which is embodied in unbalanced space and Irrational social values.For the crisis of the decline of the peasants' daily life space,it is necessary to change the unreasonable spatial and social factors through the method that external interventions are coordinated with internal adjustments.On the one hand,the countryside space could be optimized by improving infrastructure construction and increasing endogenous dynamic.On the other hand,peasants should reestablish rational values through the guidance of the government,the advocacy of non-governmental organizations,and the self-discipline of the peasants.In this way,the peasants' daily life space will be revitalized,so as to support the construction of a new socialist countryside and make the peasants' lives better.
