With the further development of the new concept of curriculum reform and the new scheme of college entrance examination,teacher' dominating position in traditional teaching can not adapt to nowadays teaching in which the dominant status of students should be prominent.Until now,the combination of theories and practices just exists in conception.On most occasions,theories are out of integration with practices in high school mathematics teaching across the country.The situational teaching of mathematics,setting lots of mathematical situation,is a student-oriented teaching method by which students would learn mathematics in pleasant atmosphere so that they can accomplish the teaching objective.The author referred to a large amount of pertinent literatures about researches in situational teaching of mathematics both at home and abroad,and conducted questionnaire surveys on senior high school students and teachers.Based on part of literatures and improvement tactics,surveys and my 6 year teaching experience,? attained a general mode of mathematical teaching situation and carried it out in my classes.This practice shows that implementing situational teaching makes students get closer to their teacher,which results in the dispelling of fear for the teacher and the increasing confidence in answering questions in class and obvious improvement of learning enthusiasm.The students feel the joy in participating in the class,and their ability of exploring problems is enhanced.Students could freely express their opinions in class discussion,which gets rid of the rigid mode of following teachers' ideas of solving problems and makes students gain divergent thinking capability.The combination of mathematical teaching situations and real practices helps to improve students' application ability of mathematics.In classes,students search for deep theory through mathematical situations to solve realistic problems,which enhance their mathematical ability.Therefore,compared with traditional teaching method,situational teaching of mathematics has remarkable effect,which enables students to master teaching objective and learn knowledge more efficiently,and in the end facilitate the development of their comprehensive qualities.
