The Research Of The China's New Rural Pension Scheme's Influence On The Birth Rate

The thesis explores the relation between the China's New Rural Pension Scheme and the Family Planning Policy.The author puts an emphasize on the research of relationships among structure of Chinese rural population,birth rate,labor supply and pension insurance under the background of the changing from “the Only Child Policy”to “the universal two-child policy”.And the thesis theoretically explains the fertility decisions problems of laborers and discusses the influence mechanism of social security on labor supply of laborers.At last,the author makes an empirical research on the Chinese family tracking data of 2012 and 2014,which are calculated by the Institute of Social Science Survey of Peking University,in order to have a deep research on the China's New Rural Pension Scheme's influence on birth rate of Chinese rural population and finally explore the trend of structure of Chinese rural population in the future.Through research,China's New Rural Pension Scheme significantly reduces the desire of fertility in rural families.Under the traditional concept of “rearing children for old age”,China's New Rural Pension Scheme makes it possible for the young rural people to receive the basic pension directly only by paying little insurance premium and provides an economic security in their old age.Through the empirical research,we can see the obvious difference on the birth rate of rural population after introducing the China's New Rural Pension Scheme.The insured families are more willing to improve the living standard by having fewer children.The China's New Rural Pension Scheme can share the pension pressure for them.In addition,through the research of sociology,the fertility decisions of rural families are influenced by the years of education,working environment and time of getting along with children and other factors.Lastly,the author finds that there is an obvious difference on the birth rate of rural population in Central China,Western China and Eastern China under the implementation of China's New Rural Pension Scheme.The reason for that is mainly due to the difference of implementation time and promotion and different income levels.The China's New Rural Pension Scheme has a different impact on incomes and strength in pension in thefuture in different areas.
