Objective:To investigate the effects of oral saturated methane water before exhaustive exercise on the exercise performance and liver inflammation and oxidative stress in SD rats.Methods:24 male SD rats were randomly divided into three groups:control group(C),exercise placebo group(ED),exercise methane water group(EM).ED,EM group were orally taken 4 ml distilled water or methane water respectively before exercise 30mins.After one-time exhaustive exercise,all the rats were sacrificed.The serum and livers were collected to detect related indicators.Results:(1)Exercise time:The exercise time of EM group was significantly extended compared with ED group(p<0.01).(2)Biochemical indicators:The levels of liver glycogen(p<0.05)and GLU(p<0.01)were significantly decreased in ED group compared with C group,but those in EM group,the levels of liver glycogen(p<0.01)and GLU(p<0.01)were significantly increased.The levels of LD(p<0.01),BUN(p<0.01),LDH(p<0.01)and CK(p<0.01)were significantly increased in ED group compared with C group,these indicators were ameliorated by methane water in EM group.However,the level of LDH and CK in EM group has no different changes.(3)Liver Histological staining:No obvious pathological damages were found in liver among three groups.(4)The levels of serum inflammatory cytokines:the levels of IL-1?(p<0.01)and IL-6(p<0.01)significantly increased in ED group compared with C group,but those in EM group,the levels of IL-1?(p<0.05)and IL-6(p<0.05)were suppressed.(5)The levels of liver inflammatory cytokines:the level of IL-1?(p<0.05)was increased in ED group compared with C group.The level of IL-1? was decreased in EM group but no significant difference.(6)Live oxidative stress:The levels of MDA(p<0.05),3-NT(p<0.05),8-OHdG(p<0.01)were significantly increased in ED group compared with C group,but T-AOC(p<0.05)was significantly decreased.However,the levels of MDA(p<0.01)were significantly decreased in EM group compared with ED group,the levels of T-AOC(p<0.01),SOD(p<0.01),GSH-PX(p<0.01)were significantly increased.Conclusion:To the SD rats,oral methane water before one-time exhaustive exercise can extend the exercise time and improve the recovery of GLU and liver glycogen,also reduce metabolites accumulation such as lactic acid and blood urea nitrogen after one-time exhaustive exercise.In addition,it could also reduce the liver oxidative stress in SD rats,so as to enhance the exercise performance.
