The excellence and uniqueness of interdisciplinary talents have attracted the attention of academic circles and drawn great attention from universities in the process of selecting and training interdisciplinary talents.At present,more and more undergraduates choose interdisciplinary majors for postgraduate study and attention of this group is gradually increasing.In recent years,the research on student engagement has drawn much attention.Student engagement has become an important factor that affects students' academic achievement and it is one of the standards to measure the quality of education.On thlis basis,interdisciplinary postgraduates are closely linked to their student engagement,it is of great importance to understand the student engagement of this group of interdisciplinary postgraduates and focus on the factors that affect the student engagement of interdisciplinary graduate students,and whether interdisciplinary postgraduates can become the compound talents who are essential for the country after postgraduate education.Based on the existing reference,researcher analyses interdisciplinary academic postgraduate in Z University and adopts the research methods of questionnaires and depth interviews to study the current status and influencing factors of interdisciplinary postgraduates.And then reasonable suggestions were put forward to enhance interdisciplinary academic postgraduate' student engagement.Through the analysis of survey data and interview contents,the following conclusions are drawn:Firstly,the student engagement of interdisciplinary academic postgraduate in Z university is above the middle level,and the input of behavioral,cognitive and emotional are all at a relatively high level.Secondly,the interdisciplinary academic postgraduate'student engagement has significant difference in terms of gender,grade and voluntary choice.There is no significant difference in the level and achievement of undergraduates.Thirdly,there is a positive correlation between the student engagement and learning attitude,professional identity and teacher-student interaction.Through further regression analysis,a standardized regression model was obtained:Student engagement = 0.570 x learning attitude + 0.310 x professional identity ?0.172 x interaction between teachers and students.Fourthly,learning tasks,relationships and professional interests are also important factors that influence interdisciplinary academic postgraduate' student engagement.The above research proves that in order to improve the level of interdisciplinary academic postgraduate' student engagement and promote the development of interdisciplinary postgraduate,researcher makes some suggestions:paying attention to the emotional input and maintaining a positive and good learning attitude;Integrating the discipline culture and cultivating a clear discipline awareness;Strengthening the interaction between teachers and students and maintaining a good and effective interaction;Improving the training model and building a scientific and reasonable curriculum system;Choosing cross-test carefully and collecting a wide range of professional information and other rationalization proposals.
