Postgraduate education is of great significance to the cultivation of talents.This research focuses on the academic postgraduate students of Shanghai's “Double FirstClass” construction universities.Through quantitative and qualitative research methods,this paper attempts to analyze the structure,current situation,influencing factors,characteristics and the possibility of continuation of academic passion of academic postgraduate students.The results of the research are as follows.First,the academic passion of academic postgraduate students has two dimensions in structure: harmonious academic passion and obsessive academic passion,and there is a strong correlation between the two dimensions.At present,the overall level of academic passion of students is slightly lower and it does not show obvious differences in factors such as the student's gender,whether they are only children,long-term residence of adolescents,parents' educational background,and annual family income.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that factors such as grade,discipline,academic motivation for graduate study,satisfaction with school hardware facilities,satisfaction with training methods,expectations for scholarships,frequency of regular mentor meetings,and mentor guidance methods will be academic passions make an impact.Secondly,On the academic passion of academic postgraduate students from the perspective of structure,level and influencing factors,there are three characteristics of academic passion: harmonious passion dominates,level fluctuations decrease,and internal influence factors are the main characteristics.Therefore,it is concluded that the immature development of academic passion is the overall characteristic of academic passion of academic postgraduate students.The particularity of identity is the common cause of its different characteristics,and the internal logic of forced passion,the guiding process of teachers and the forming process of passion are the specific reasons for its formation.Finally,the academic passion of academic postgraduate students has a significant correlation with the willingness to pursue a Ph.D.The current willingness to pursue a Ph.D.is not high overall and the current willingness to decrease significantly compared to the beginning of enrollment.However,if we only pay attention to the current situation of students who are willing to pursue a Ph.D.,the academic passion level of this group is relatively high and stable.At the same time,the motivation of this group is mainly based on academic motivation.Therefore,it indicates that the current students' willingness to pursue a Ph.D.has a better academic passion status,which will lay a good foundation for the continuation and development of their academic passion during their Ph.D.period.Based on the conclusions of the research,we propose the following: training institutions should pay more attention to the academic motivation of students in the selection of academic postgraduate students,at the same time,training institutions should enhance the academic passion of academic postgraduate students by improving the training process,as far as possible to meet the scientific research and academic needs of students,and establishing a more open and transparent scholarship system;the mentor's academic guidance should be based on encouragement and support style,and the frequency of regular meetings is preferably once every two to three weeks;individual students should strive to improve their academic cognition and make full plans for their subsequent development.
