SWOT Analysis On The Sustainable Development Of Ningxia Competitive Wushu

Wushu,as a gem in the treasury of Chinese traditional culture,is one of the sports items with Chinese traditional culture characteristics.Competitive Wushu is an important part of Wushu,and its development affects the development of Wushu to a large extent.A research has been done on the sustainable development of competitive Wushu in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.Its result has certain theoretical and practical value for the development of competitive Wushu in Ningxia.This study focus on the competitive Wushu in Ningxia,using the methods of literature study,questionnaire,SWOT analysis,expert interview and other research methods.The study reviews the development of Ningxia competitive Wushu and analyzes the factors that influence its development by SWOT method.The conclusions have been drawn as follows:(1)There are four stages in the development course of Ningxia competitive Wushu:the period of infancy,forming,slow growth and rapid growth.(2)There exists numerous advantages in its development:The athletes have clear motivation and future positioning for their career.As for the coaches,their age structure is reasonable and teaching experience is rich.What's more,there is a solid foundation for the development of face-to-face training,other boxing and instrument projects,and an essential guarantee of a good training condition for the Wushu team in Ningxia.(3)However,there are some disadvantages in the development of Ningxia competitive Wushu.First,the personnel training units can't provide qualified reserve talents and a sufficient training guarantee.By and large,the coaches' educational background and the scientific research ability are poor,and their professional titles are low.Third,the coaches select teaching materials in an one-sided way and set down their training plans unreasonably.last,there are too many competitive Wushu items.(4)There are also some opportunities for the development of Ningxia competitive Wushu.The Ningxia government is paying more attention to the development of competitive sports.The sports industry in Ningxia grows in an increasingly rapid way.The development of the Ningxia Wushu Association is becoming more and more perfect.(5)What's more,there exists some threats to the development of Ningxia competitive Wushu.First,the mass basis of Ningxia competitive Wushu is weak.Second,some folk traditional Wushu is disappearing gradually.Third,the foreign culture imposes an impact on our traditional culture.At last,opponents are strong and the competitive pressure is comparatively high.Based on the above research results,the study puts forward many suggestions:to optimize the selection mechanism;to strengthen the scientific training;to strengthen the training of the coaches;to build a highly qualified coach team;to pay attention to the development of private Wushu schools with their characteristics;to bridge the two training systems of sports schools and Wushu schools;to broaden the way to strive for development funds;to accelerate the pace of introducing Wushu into the campus;to fully implement Scientific Outlook on Development;to develop competitive Wushu on the basis of traditional Wushu and to promote the sustainable development of Ningxia competitive Wushu.
