Campus Sexual Harassment Analysis And Social Work Intervention Research

From the perspective of social work,this article discusses the concepts,objects,characteristics,and reasons of sexual harassment on campus,and studies the possibility of social work involvement in campus harassment.The author conducted a questionnaire survey of 151 students(having experienced sexual harassment on campus or witnessed sexual harassment on campus).The 151 valid questionnaires obtained were coded,counted,and summarized to form quantitative data on campus sexual harassment research.At the same time,the author conducts in-depth interviews with six students suffering from mental illness due to sexual harassment on campus,and organizes relevant research content in a timely manner to form qualitative research data.Through the analysis of the above research data,it can be concluded that campus sexual harassment occurs on campus and is based on sex,and violates the individual's wishes to hinder or harm individuals.All genders and sexual orientations may be in situations of sexual harassment.Sexual harassment on campus has the characteristics of “ diversified forms,multiple means ”,“ great concealment,collective disregard”,“serious harm,and far-reaching impact”.In terms of classification,campus sexual harassment includes speech,behavior,and action.Campus harassment events with a certain time span often include the above three types.The gender stereotypes,“straight X cancer”,social support,personal social interaction,and self-esteem level in the environment are all related to the sexual harassment experience.It is worth noting that sexual harassment between teachers and students is not common due to the “ Suntech ” component of our culture.In the predicament of sexual harassment on campus,the involvement of social work is feasible and inevitable.Based on the perspective of empowerment,social workers use a combination of casework,group work,and community work methods to help the owner emerge from the crisis and establish a correct attitude.This will create a friendly campus environment and fundamentally curb the seeds of sexual harassment on campus.
