A Research On Social Support Of Farmer Construction Workers

In recent years,with the gradual rise of the construction industry in China,the construction industry of farmers,as a special vulnerable group,has attracted wide attention from the society.As far as Beijing is concerned,there are more than 6 million rural construction workers alone.The construction workers of peasants play an important role in the construction of cities,but the inherent institutional obstacles and the estrangement of people make it difficult for them to integrate into the mainstream society smoothly.Therefore,it is the mission given by The Times to explore the construction path of social support for farmers' construction workers and to meet their subjective needs.It is also a social problem that social work professionals need to respond to.This research adopts qualitative research methods,from the perspective of peasant's construction site,a construction site in Beijing 10 farmers construction as investigation object,and by understanding the current situation and difficulties of life,they accept the experience of social support,their feelings,evaluation and expectation and existing problems,to explore the significance of social support for them and build path.The study found that the construction workers of farmers are faced with physical,psychological and social pressures in their work and life in cities.In the face of the pressure and difficulties when farmers construction of social support including from government,enterprise formal social support,and from friends,family members of informal social support,and then from the perspective of social support of farmers construction understanding discuss its support for help to the society will,feel the evaluation,and look forward to,find their problems in the aspect of social support: First,from the perspective of formal support,the government pays more attention to policy guidance than specific implementation and supervision.Business support emphasizes economic support and emotional support.Lack of community support,lack of communication channels;Lack of professional social work service support.Second,from the perspective of informal support,strong relationship is dominant,weak relationship is absent,strong and weak relationship is uncoordinated,social support is low utilization degree,lack of initiative spirit of help.Finally,the author puts forward some Suggestions to explore the construction path of social support for construction workers from the perspectives of formal social support,informal social support and professional social work.
