Comparation On Senior High School Mathematics Textbooks Between PEP Edition And Beijing Normal University Version

In the basic education mathematics curriculum reform,the content of the plane vector under ?the Senior high School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(experiment)?(hereinafter referred to as the " curriculum ")made major changes in curriculum objectives,curriculum content,organization structure etc.in order to study the characteristics of it?s diversity,at the same time,combine with vector more strongly linked to other subjects,so in the paper,the auther takes two versions of the standard textbook as the example,which are published by Beijing Normal University Press and People Education Press(Edition A).based on the curriculum,the literature method,content analysis method and comparative method were used in the study,Knowledge system,auxiliary readings system,examples and exercises system of the plane vector were discussed and analyzed from both quantitative and qualitative aspects.In terms of the content of knowledge system,two versions of the textbook covers the basic knowledge of plane vector,both of them draw much attention on the basic knowledge of plane vectors and fully embodied the the bridge function of algebra,geometry,trigonometry and basic idea of " curriculum " : to develop student's mathematics application consciousness.Regarding the order of the content,Two versions have their unique knowledge points,the section numbe of them have certain difference.Generally speaking,two version of the material are derived from the same standard,so the setting of the content is almost the same.On the auxiliary readings system,People Education Press(Edition A)concentrate more on the connection of knowledge and methods of penetration.There are a lot of differences between the two versions in the choice of illustrations and distribution,on column seting ?Beijing Normal University version takes the practical problems in life as a example,it paid attention to the cultivation of the students' ability of mathematical modeling.In the Beijing normal university version,the textbook are almost used explanatory notes,as a result,the type is single and inflexible relatively.In the People Education Press(Edition A)version,the choreography of the textbook is distinctive,although the explanatory illustration makes a great difference with Beijing normal university version and it also focused on enough attention,in the meantime,it also provided much guidance for students' initiative investigation through a lot of instructive questions statement and fully mobilized the students learning enthusiasm and initiative.With respect to the examples and exercises,the total examples and exercises of two versions were similar and the exercises design is also very reasonable.It Shows tha both of the two versions emphasis on giving students more independent space in class and accord with the requirement of new curriculum reform.Nevertheless,Beijing normal university version paid much attention on instrumental and practicability of the vector.There are great differences in the level of "understanding",in "using" level,the overall proportion were significantly higher than the level of "understanding",all of these thanks to new standard emphasizes on the application of the mathematics.on the choice of topic type,Two versions are almost consistent,but Beijing normal university version paid more attention to solving the practical problems in life,it?s more close to life and can stimulate students' interest in learning more.on the setting and distribution of examples and exercises,Two versions paid more attention to coordinate operation,it laid a good foundation for the usage of vector method to solve the problem of solid geometry,however,the use of vector method to solve the problems of the conic topic design is not enough,and the cohesion to subsequent knowledge is not quite tight enough,in this aspect Beijing normal university version is much more reasonable.Finally,combining with comparsive conclusion,the author come up with some views and Suggestions on the senior high school mathematics textbook of our country,for instace,attaching much attention to the classroom practice,noticing students' interest.needs and abilities as well as mathematical culture background as much as possible when selecting course content,this will not only help students grasp the scientific and cultural knowledge better,but also help them form a good attitude towards study.Only in this,we can achieve the purpose of improve the quality of teaching.
