The new round of curriculum reform proposes to use “core accomplishment” and “key capabilities” as the guiding ideology for the preparation of new curriculum standards to imp rove curriculum standards and revision of textbooks in primary and secondary schools.Ther efore,in the teaching process,we must pay attention to cultivating students' geography abili ty.The "activity" column in the textbook is an important vehicle for cultivating the academi c ability. Therefore,it is necessary to study the geography ability and the "activity" column.Based on the SOLO theory, this article studies the special ability of the discipline.Thro ugh the analysis of the “activity” column titles of the six geographical teaching materials of PEP,Xiang P.E.,the middle-seventh grade and the eighth grade, the following conclusions are drawn: : 1.Six textbooks are involved in the four levels of the SOLO classification theor y,but the textbooks are quite different. The most difficult is the Chinese version of the seve n,the less difficult is the Hunan education version of the seven and the Chinese version of t he eight.2.The five special abilities of the five geographical disciplines in the six textbook s are all taken into account, but the proportions of various abilities are different.Among the m,the issue of geographical causality analysis and reasoning in the eighth grade of the Peop le's Education Press has the largest proportion. The issue of the ability to discern the geogra phical distribution pattern of the seventh grade of the Hunan Pedagogy Edition had the large st proportion of the five kinds of capabilities, and the proportion of the spatial positioning a bility was the second highest. The comprehensive analysis capability of the geographical ch aracteristics of the Chinese version of the seventh grade is the largest among the five kinds of capabilities. In addition to the geographical process description and the simple predictive power, the ratio of the lower grades of the seventh grade of the People's Education Press an d the eighth grade of the Chinese version is relatively low,and the proportions of the other f our special abilities are relatively balanced.3.The topic of spatial positioning ability in the six textbooks is mainly based on single-point structure and multi-point structure hierarchy;t he subject of spatial distribution pattern's awareness ability is also dominated by single-poin t structure and multi-point structure hierarchy; The analytical capabilities are mainly based on multi-level structural hierarchy;the description and simple forecasting capabilities of ge ographic processes are mainly related to the structural hierarchy, and the number of topics a ccounts for the lowest proportion;the geographical causality analysis and reasoning ability i s mainly based on multi-point structure and associated structural hierarchy.the Lord.In response to the above conclusions, the following suggestions are proposed: 1.Adjus t the SOLO hierarchy of the “activity” section of the textbook so that the difficulty of the ac tivity is in line with the student's cognitive development level.2.Appropriately adjust the di stribution proportions and difficulty levels of the topics in the "activity" of the special capab ilities of the five geographical disciplines in different editions of textbooks, increase and adj ust the description of the geographic process and the ability to predict simple problems in th e "activity" column..3.Using the curriculum standards as a guide to conduct teaching in a SOLO competency structure.4.Flexibility to adjust the difficulty level of the "Activity" col umn according to student conditions.5.According to the actual situation of the students, adj ust the contents and methods of the "activity" section.
