Exploring And Analyzing And Enlightenment Of Thought Of The Social Actions In Giddens' Risk Social Theory

Giddens hold that sociology can assist people to learn about the effect of modernization to their lives.The core of his structuration theory is social action research,and his later analysis about risk society is continuation of the theory.In the field,most people focus on the structuration theory when they study about Giddens.People pay more attention to institutional aspect and macro-structural level in the risk society research,however,seldom concern the form of expression,characteristic and the effect to the behavior of the social action.It is meaningful to go through the complicated transitional period successful that combine the analysis about social action and behavior in social structure of Giddens with sociology to research a suitable manner between social and individual in Chinese risk society.This research is based on Giddens' Structuration Theory and related research about social action in Risk Social Theory.The research analyzes the social action in Giddens' risk society from four perspectives,the time-space correlation,the reflection of social action,social action as a knowledge-based action and the traditional control over social actions.In the analysis of these four aspects,Giddens' social action was further studied by comparing the study of social action from the Giddens' theoretical syllabus and the study of social action in the risk social theory.The logic of thinking clarifies what changes Giddens' social action ideology has evolved from the structural ideology outline to the risk society theory.By studying the characteristics of Giddens' social action ideology in the risk society and combining the characteristics of China's social transformation,this paper derives how China's modern society governance could become more consummation and systematization.The whole process is matched and illustrative.There are four parts in the thesis.The first part is introduction,including meaning of this topic,background and based on the existing related literature at local and abroad,the author summarizes the existing research results and existing problems.Then highlights the significance and importance of this topic.The second part is research of the theory.To find the method of how to research the risk society from social actions,based on structuration theory and results of social actions research to analyze features of actions and space,risk society and reflective,the ideas of specialist and traditional view.To get a conclusion that special point of modern society will influence the behavior of actors.The third part appraise the theory of Giddens,mainly including ideological value and defects.To analyze the theory in three aspects: importing space,four actions of adapting the risk society,and knowledge of society psychology applying.And analyze the defects of this theory from three views,they are separation of time and space,obvious reflective and contradiction within the theory.In the end,combine the results of the second part and the status of Chinese society,to discuss how to work out a way in the risk society and make some advises about policy,individual motility and Chinese traditional values,to make the thesis completely.
