Empowerment And Support:Case Study On Community Correction Employment Service

Employment service is an important part of community correction work.Providing employment services for unemployed correction objects can help them solve employment problems,realize self-rehabilitation,and return smoothly to society.Moreover,it is beneficial to reduce the rate of re-offending and has a positive effect on promoting the social economic development and social harmony.At present,the work of community correction in our country is in the rising stage of development,and the relevant system and regulations are also improving day by day.In the aspect of employment service,how to improve the service effect of correctional social workers,give full play to the professional value of social work,promote the employment of corrective objects and realize self-rehabilitation,has become a very important issue.The author adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and case study to systematically study the employment service of community correction carried out by social workers.In order to improve the service effect,the author puts forward some suggestions.The author thinks that psychology,behavior,family relationship,social support,human capital,criminal record and other aspects of problems may lead to the correction of the object employment difficulties,and make them into a state of loss of power.Therefore,in the process of employment service,social workers should start with the subjective and objective reasons that affect the employment of the victim,and intervene from three aspects: psychological adjustment,ability enhancement and social support.On the basis of empowerment theory and social support network theory,fully excavating the potential of the client,giving full play to his initiative and improving his self-help ability,promote the client to solve the employment problem and finally realize his self-rehabilitation.
