24 Solar-terms are included in the United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization list of Representatives of Intangible Cultural Heritage on November 30,2016.There are variety of educational values in Chinese traditional 24Solar-term festivals,such as respect to nature and lives,harmony,friendliness.etc.which are precious treasures.After visiting a large number of primary schools in China,such as Shanghai,Changzhou,Xiamen,Shenzhen,I find that there's a popular trend that festival is getting to be an effective tool of school reform and characterized development in many primary schools.Therefore,the research on 24 Solar-term activity is significant,both actually and practically.In this research,L Primary School in Shanghai will be taken as the main field study spot.Focused on the educational values of school 24 solar-term activities,the research is devoted to figuring out two questions:1.What are the educational values in24 Solar-term festivals?2.How do these educational values come into effect to influence kids' growth in school education? Literature research and field study are two main research methods.Meanwhile,some specific methods,such as deep interviews,video,observation and record will be used when necessary and available.According to the two questions,the research is based on the field study in L Primary School and intended to explore the educational values' developing and transforming.I try to find out 24 Solar-term festival's basic elements(human being,nature,society),the relationships between them firstly,then figure out the structure-function model.So a connected conversation platform is set up between 24Solar-term activity and school education.Then the research could go further and unfold the educational values' developing and transforming in 24 Solar-term activities based on the field study.At last,the research draws three conclusions as followed:Conclusion 1:The educational values in 24 Solar-term activity are comprehensive and integral.The comprehensiveness comes from the activity itself.Solar-term activity includes contexts,rituals and embedded significance.It constructs an integrated learning structure and experience for children.The integrity means that the educational values in solar-term is functioning in three dimensions:what,how and why.Kids' growth is regarded as the precondition.So Solar-term activities are playinga role as spiritual materials and comprehensive subject knowledge-structure for children's learning.They could meet kids' needs of multiple learning goals and integrated development.Conclusion 2:Solar-term activity facilitates the transform from instructing to kids' learning.The transform consists of two dimensions.One is a subject-transform,from teacher to student.Teachers play a role of guider and helper who are helping students set up a learning-scaffold.The other is a transformation from the outside knowledge to students' inside spiritual being.During kids' growing,learning carrier and material are definitely necessary,which contributes to learning schema and knowledge structure for children.Conclusion 3:Solar-term activity conduces to human's harmony both inside and outside.It harmonizes four relationships between human,nature and society.Human could get on well with nature by understanding nature phenomenon,acquiring nature knowledge and principles.Solar-term activity has unique system concluding symbolic characterization,ritual representation and inside significance.When involved in a solar-term activity,human gets to know himself,stay in harmony with others,respect nature as well as the objective principles,in order to realize a harmony being.
