Since 1980 s,all walks of life in the United States have begun to pay attention to the phenomenon of school bullying which was not discovered among violence behaviors at schools,carried out a series of investigations and studies,implemented systematic experiments and explorations,and made remarkable achievements in the prevention and intervention of school bullying as well as accumulated a considerable amount of experience.In recent years,the incidents of school bullying in primary and secondary schools in our country have been increasingly intensifying,and gradually become the focus of research topics to which scholars pay close attention at present.Based on the grim status of school bullying in China and the effective practice of preventive measures and interventions in the United States,this study takes bullying preventive measures and interventions in primary and secondary schools in the United States as the main subject,selects the prevention and intervention practice in New Jersey as regional case,and takes Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and PeaceBuilders as program cases.Through literature analysis,case analysis and comparative analysis,this paper mainly explores characteristics and the experience of school bullying practice in the United States,analyzes China's existing problems,and attempts to provide reference for our country.The research questions in this paper mainly include the following six aspects: firstly,what are the relevant theories of school bullying prevention measures and interventions in the United States? Secondly,what are the legislative support and policy guidance the United States have for school bullying? What are the main aspects of prevention and intervention system? And how to form an integrated power? Thirdly,take New Jersey as a regional case to analyze state-level prevention and intervention practices of school bullying in the United States? Fourthly,take Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and PeaceBuilders as program cases to analyze how the United States adopts project practices for school bullying? Fifthly,What are the problems of school bullying prevention and intervention in China? What lessons can our country learn from the bullying prevention and intervention practices in the United States?The main contents of this paper include the following six parts:The preface summarizes the origin and significance of this research.At the same time,it analyzes the current situation of school bullying by combining domestic and foreign research findings about school bullying,and further points out the research ideas,technical routes,research contents and methods of this study.The second chapter begins with the definitions of the key terms of this study such as “school bullying”,“prevention measures” and “intervention”.Then,it analyzes relevant theories of school bullying prevention and intervention in the United States.The third chapter firstly analyzes the legislative basis of bullying prevention and interventions in the United States and the policy guidance provided by the federal and the states to provide support for this study.Secondly,this paper analyzes the combined prevention and intervention system of school bullying in the United States from multiple subjects such as schools,families,communities and social nongovernmental forces,and makes further analysis of how to form a powerful integration force.The fourth chapter takes New Jersey as a regional research case to analyze the practice of school bullying prevention and intervention at the state level in the United States.The fifth chapter selects two representative prevention and intervention projects to analyze the project practices adopted by the United States on school bullying.Finally explores the existing problems of bullying prevention and interventions in China,summarizes the characteristics and experience of bullying prevention measures and interventions in the United States.And then provides effective lessons of prevention and intervention for school bullying in China from the aspects of policies and regulations,multi-cooperation mechanisms,and professional training and project.
