Mathematical operation ability is a fundamental ability that junior high school students should master,which also is an important factor will influences students’ mathematical achievement.Mathematical operation is one of the key competences of mathematics,so cultivating this ability is beneficial to students’ mathematics learning.It is found that mathematical operation ability of the tested students are generally not high through testing the freshmen in junior high school.By analyzing,there is a positive correlation between mathematical achievement and mathematical operation ability.Therefore,cultivating mathematical operation ability will conducive to improve students’ mathematical achievement.Through analyzing the questionnaire and test results,the factors that influence the development of student’s operational capability and the relationship between mathematical performance and operation ability are obtained.This paper summarizes the problems of teachers and students in the training of arithmetic ability.Professor Lv Chuanhan put forward the idea of "three devices of teaching" to cultivate the students’ mathematical core ability.Student’s mathematical calculation activities include mathematical thinking,mathematical experience and mathematical expression.Therefore,in view of the factors that affect the development of student’s mathematical operation,this paper combines the factors with "three devices of teaching" theory presented by Professor Lv to propose the teaching strategy so that improve the operation ability of the freshmen,develop the mathematical key competences,and provide corresponding references and suggestions for the future mathematical operation teaching activities.The first chapter of this paper introduces the background,purpose and significance of this research.The second chapter summarizes the research results and theoretical status in domestic and overseas,and defines the mathematical operation ability.The third chapter is the investigation and research on the status of mathematical ability of junior high school freshmen.The fourth chapter analyzes the factors that affect the students’ operation ability based on the international research status and results,and present the method of cultivating the students’ mathematical computing ability combined with the "three devices of teaching" theory.The fifth chapter analyzes the teaching cases and proposes specific teaching design refers to the strategies.The last part summarizes this paper,reflects on the inadequacies and propose the questions that need to be solved in the further study.
