Mathematical operation ability is the basic form of mathematical activities and the basis of solving mathematical problems,it is also a key ability in mathematics.The cultivation of mathematical operation ability in compulsory education is one of the main objectives of teachers' teaching.Cultivating students' correct and efficient mathematical operation ability has an important influence on the improvement of students' mathematical learning level.Research on the present situation and teaching strategy about the mathematical operation ability of students in grade seven is based on literature search,and develop research process and define the research framework.Test questions are compiled from three dimensions: the component of mathematical operation ability,mathematical content and problem situation.The research objects were selected from three middle schools of different levels through stratified sampling of all middle schools in BL district of N city,a total of 196 seventh graders were tested,then 188 valid test papers obtained.In adition,the questionnaire survey of tested students and interview survey of 4 teachers were added in order to fully understand the current situation of students' mathematical operation ability,the questionnaire survey is made around mathematical operation interest,resource management and mathematical operation habits,the semi-structured interview test focuses on the current situation of mathematical operation ability.Getting the following grade seven students' mathematical operation ability conclusions by statisticsing and analysising relevant data:(1)The mathematics operation ability of the seventh grade students is at the middle level,and there are fewer people at higher ability levels.(2)There is no difference in mathematical operation ability between the sexes,and there is a significant correlation between mathematical operation ability and mathematical achievement.(3)Students of grade 7lost points in arithmetic mainly in the poor understanding ability of operational concepts,weak consciousness of operational symbols,complex operational ideas and poor expression of operational results.(4)Students have a poor grasp of algebraiccontent and weak awareness of using equation to solve problems.(5)The operationgal capability of solving problems in real situation is weak and the formalization degree of materials is low.(6)Students have poor mathmatical operation interest and bad opetational habits.Based on current status survey results,the following teaching countermeasures are obtained: Aiming at the multi-layer oprational capability,the layered operation mechanism is established;Teachers should improve students' discourse power and increase students' participation in class;Attaching more importance in the process of concept introduction and formation to improve students' memory level;Expanding students' calculation thinking by combining with the diversified problem situation;Strengthening the teaching of operational rules and pushing students to master methods;Strengthening the demonstrate effect through examples,and standardizing the students' operational habits.
