In order to understand and learn from the cultures of different regions and to respect cultural diversity,Chinese Textbooks in junior high school have been selected in many foreign languages,which have the difference between intensive reading and skimming.The short and refined space of intensive reading is the key point for teachers to explain.Teachers will pass on learning methods and related knowledge to students through intensive reading.Skimming lessons are long,and teachers will take skimming as a training text,instructing students to apply the knowledge learned from the intensive reading course to skimming classes and to analyze and solve problems independently.But in reality,teachers confuse the two classes,ignoring the significance and value of their existence.Therefore,the author makes a comparative study on the teaching of intensive reading and skim reading in foreign countries.The first part of the paper is the introduction,which mainly explains the significance of the topic,related concepts,literature development and research methods.The second part is the selections and analysis of intensive reading and skimming courses in foreign countries,which mainly include the principles of selecting and editing foreign selected texts,the situation andcharacteristics of selection.Only when teachers are familiar with the distribution of foreign essence and the purpose of skimming,can we make a better comparative study.Only by understanding the principle of selection and the characteristics of selection,can the teachers be more prominent in the foreign culture.The third part is the comparison between the intensive reading course and the skimming course.Through the comparison of the learning situation,the content of the teaching,the teaching mode and the teaching method,it shows the similarities and differences between the foreign text intensive reading course and the skimming course in the teaching.The teachers can clearly locate the intensive reading and skimming courses,and can teach according to the class type.The fourth part is the Enlightenment of the comparative study on teaching.I get some enlightenment from the above comparison,including the method migration,the widening of knowledge,flexible participation and optimization design,and the design of some teaching fragments under the influence of these revelations.The fifth part is the conclusion,which is a summary of the thesis.The author makes a comparative study on the teaching of intensive reading and skimming,and expects teachers to clear the similarities and differences between intensive reading and skimming classes on the basis of knowledge of the distribution of foreign text,so as to distinguish the two types of classes strictly,get the Enlightenment from the teaching,and finally improve the teaching situation.
