| The development of world geography education requires to link up geography courses with students’ actual life.The "Curriculum Standard for Geography Courses in Compulsory Education(2010 Edition)" also proposes to learn useful geography for real life and lifelong development of students.Life-oriented situational teaching is sourced from student’s daily life,closely connecting to student’s life experience.Case design of life-oriented situational teaching enriched the classroom teaching forms,which helps to improve students’ geographical practice skills and stimulate their interest in learning.In addition,case design brings more professionalism to teachers.This article collates and analyzes the curriculum standards of compulsory education,the life-oriented concept and content in the geography textbook of junior middle school.The curriculum standards embody the idea of life-oriented geography teaching in terms of the nature,the concept and the content of the curriculum.Through the analysis of geography teaching materials,combining with the characteristics of situational teaching,the contents suitable for life-oriented teaching are finally selected out and classified.Through collecting and studying the literatures,combining the general principles of case design with the characteristics of life-oriented situational teaching,the author puts forward the case design principles of junior geography life-oriented situational teaching: practical principle,exploratory principle,interesting principle,and suitable principle.Case design of life-oriented situational teaching serves for teaching objectives.Situation is created and designed closely to student’s real life,vivd,actual,exploratory,stimulating students’ interest in learning.At the same time,the selected cases should tally with students’ cognitive level and psychological features.Based on the classification of life-oriented situational teaching,combining with curriculum standards and teaching materials,life-oriented situational teaching cases are designed.Case design is revolved around teaching objectives and related with social life,playing a role in optimizing teaching effects in actual classroom-teaching.Combining with teaching practice,this paper proposes a case design strategy for life-oriented situational teaching.At different stages such as case selection,case presentation,case implementation,case reflection,etc.,targeted strategies are proposed to provide methods for case design.Integrating life-oriented situational teaching into junior middle school geography classrooms is a long-term task that requires teachers’ continuous exploration.Case design of life-oriented situational teaching combines actual life and situational teaching,shortening the distance between teaching and students,optimizing classroom teaching effects.In the favorable life atmosphere,students explore and research actively,enhancing geographical capabilities,and inspiring to love life and the world.Life-oriented situational teaching must develop and boost in life-oriented geography teaching.It radiates lasting vitality and becomes a widely practical teaching method. |
