Nowadays,an increasing number of kindergartens are experimenting with mixed-age education under the influence of the Montessori method and the thought of mixed-age education.The kindergarten in which the author works,the Kindergarten A of Wuhai City,has adopted the mixed-age mode since 2013.In the recent two years,it has been conducting theoretical and practical research into the subject A Study on Establishing an Mixed-age Education Mode.As the regional material serves the goal of education,its allocation is an important factor that impacts on the regional activities of kindergarten children.For the purpose of this study,the allocation of regional educational materials refer to the reasonable allocation of regional materials by the instructors in pursuit of certain educational goals,so that children of various ages may learn and develop together by way of sufficient interactions with materials,the environment and their companions.This study has observed the material allocation of 12 classes in the kindergarten and randomly selected 7 teachers as the interview objects,including 1 head of the kindergarten.It aims to analyze the status quo of the institute's material allocation and offer advices after a practical investigation thereupon.While allocating the regional materials of mixed-age education,this study has borrowed from the educational thought of Montessori,the cognitive development theory of Piaget,the Vygotsky's ZPD theory,the Bandura social learning theory.It uses for reference the domestic and international research achievements.It incorporates the current situation of regional materials allocation of Kindergarten A and falls mainly into the following aspects :First of all,The introduction of the question,in which the reasons andsignificance of choosing the subject are stated;The second,clarifies the concept and theoretical foundation of practicing the mixed-age allocation of regional materials;then,concretely illustrates the overall research landform related to this article and the design of the study;Once again,summarizes the precedent experiences and achievements and on basis of the author's on site study,analyzes and explains the status quo and factors that impact on the allocation of regional materials in mixed-age education from the perspectives of the kindergarten as well as its faculty members;The last,further expounds the strategy thereof and proposes several advices regarding the allocation of regional materials of Kindergarten A of Wuhai City in terms of mixed-age education.
