In this paper,students in Grade Five and Grade Six in a primary school of Wei yang District in Xi'an were subjected to exercise intervention and cognitive test.This study explored the effects of acute aerobic exercise with different intensities,different durations and different time periods on 10--12 years old pupils' working memory through three experiments.The purpose of this study is to find the load and the time period that are most conducive to the pupils' exercise.The study used a 3 * 2 mixed experimental design.The working memory was measured by the accuracy(ACC)and reaction time(RT).The working memory was tested through the 2-back task of Psychology Software EPrime 2.0,whose data was analyzed by SPSS 22.0.The results are as follows:(1)Comparing the low intensity,the medium intensity,and the high intensity,the medium intensity group is the most significant to improve the accuracy.The highest intensity group is the second,and the small intensity group is the worst.The intensity effect on the reaction time is not statistically significant.(2)Comparing acute aerobic exercise for 10 minutes,20 minutes,and 30 minutes,acute aerobic exercise for 30 minutes has the most significant improvement in working memory of primary school students,followed by 20 minutes.The 10-minute effect is the worst.(3)Comparing morning classes,afternoon classes,and after school,the improvement in working memory of students after school is the most obvious,followed by morning classes.Afternoon exercise is the worst.The conclusion is:(1)After the acute aerobic exercise of different intensity,duration and time period,the working memory level of primary school students has been improved.It shows that the acute aerobic exercise is helpful to improve primary school students' working memory.(2)For primary school students,it is best to perform 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic exercise after school(17:10--18:10).This article suggests that according to the school's schoolwork schedule students should exercise at 17:10--18:10,the exercise duration is 30 minutes,and the exercise intensity is moderate.In this way,the promotion effect of pupils' working memory is the most obvious.It is good to improve students' academic performance.
