A Study On The News Report Framework Of The Thirteenth National Games At Web Portals On Personal Computers

With the encouragement from technological development,widespread use of the Internet and the national policy of the “integration of three networks”,internet media is in a more advantageous position compared with traditional media in terms of timeliness,interaction and multimedia.The paper takes the framework of sports news coverage during the Thirteenth National Games at the portals of Sina Sports and Tencent Sports on personal computers as the research object.Through the methods of documentary,content analysis and comparison analysis,this study analyzes the news report framework of the two web portals on three levels of theme framework,organizational framework and discourse framework,etc,and from nine dimensions,which include reports on the competition and non-competition news,as well as thirty-three third-class indicators.The study explores the features,development difficulties and solutions to the news report framework of current web portals in China.Therefore,the discussion can be used for reference for future establishment of sports news coverage framework.Study results and analysis: the following features of the news report framework of the Thirteenth National Games at different web portals.In terms of theme framework,topics related to sports news are dominant while subjects irrelevant to the sports events play a supporting role.In terms of organizational framework,innovations occur in feature columns and there are various visual signals in the report formats: closed type of report plays a major role while live report plays a minor part;news is the main report form,while communication and reviews are also stressed;graphic structure of the report is mainly based on responses,feedback,backgrounds and main events.In terms of discourse framework,report sources attach importance to original recommendation,reprint of internet media news rather than traditional media.As for the report perspective,national framework is the mainstream and it is quite monotonous;positive news are more likely to be reported to try to make viewers reach a consensus on the “National Games Culture”.At the same time,the main problems in the news reporting framework of the national games of China's portal websites at the present stage are as follows: the theme framework--“achievements first” is prominent,and “mass sports” is insufficient in dissemination and tends to be entertaining.Structural framework--structural stereophonic is insufficient,text expression is in single form,homogenization of news broadcast content is popular,and there are lots of defects intechnology;Discourse framework--the competition itself should be focused on and the publicity of the host city image should be weakened.Accordingly,countermeasures are put forward:downplaying the thematic framework of “achievements first”,promoting “national fitness”,strengthening the functional construction of “gatekeeper”,strengthening self-discipline supervision,adopting diversified reporting frameworks,and avoiding the imbalance of thematic reports;Structural framework adopts setting “interactive framework”,avoiding reporting “one-sided framework” and “media stereotypes”,strengthening all-round in-depth reporting,increasing follow-up reports to improve schema structural reporting,increasing introduction of background materials,and constructing reasonable frameworks to facilitate readers' reading experience.Discourse framework should strengthen the balance between national and regional frameworks,and the perspective of news reporting of competitions should be rationally allocated nationally and locally,so as to avoid simplification,improve the expression ability of news discourse and construct city image publicity.Conclusions: The news reports in China's comprehensive portal websites on the National Games have many merits in terms of thematic framework,structural framework and discourse framework,which play an important role in communication.At the same time,there are some problems that need to be improved in news reports of large-scale sports events.Suggestions: In the future,China's portal websites should set up news reporting framework:thematic framework--news professionalism should be focused on,the essence of sports spirit should be carried forward,dilute the thematic framework of “achievements first”,and the mass sports communication should be strengthened.The structural framework should reasonably allocate the proportion of news reports and improve the structural framework.Discourse framework should strengthen the balance between national and regional frameworks.
