As a symbol of national value and social civilization, the school is the spiritual and cultural center of the country. The teachers are the intellectuals of the rural society, they play an important role in the progress of the civilization and the change of customs the countryside. The students are the hope of rural development and the link between cultural inheritance and rural construction. The rural school serve as important rural public infrastructure service facilities,it have a certain pattern in the development history of thousands of years.Fairness and efficiency is the most prominent problem in the process of optimizing the spatial distribution of rural schools throughout the world. It is an urgent problem that need to solve, which is how can not only ensure rural educational equality, and can improve the efficiency and quality of rural school. At the beginning of the founding of new China,in order to meet the demands of the rural people for education, the rural schools were blossoming and even expanding. With the development of urbanization, more and more rural people are migrating to cities, and the birth rate is declining,it brought out students source crisis in many rural schools. In this situation, the policies that promote the adjustment of rural school layout came into being, many countries think of "merger" as an important way to realize rural elementary school layout adjustment. The "reduce and merge school" implemented in China is a typical policy to optimize the spatial distribution of rural schools in the process of accelerating urbanization.Under the perspective of education resource integration,China rapidly implemented the adjustment work of school spatial distribution, resulting in a large number of small schools were forced to close, and rural schools gradually brings out the centralized, large scale and the characteristics of urbanization of running a school,However,in the adjustment of rural school layout, the adverse effects of such phenomena as school bus safety accidents, high dropout rate and increasing number of resident students are gradually emerging. Therefore, the spatial distribution of rural schools is attracting more and more people's attention.Since school was born, the spatial distribution of rural schools has undergone a certainhistory change process, which shows different characteristics in different social and historical backgrounds.History is a humanities subject that study the evolution of human social change,it is expected to predict the consequences of future generations on the basis of the exploration of previous generations,in order to improve the remedial measures and improve the society.School is not only a product of social politics, economy and culture, also is the product of historical development,so when we discussing the issue of rural schools or optimizing the strategy of the spatial distribution of rural schools,we can't inseparable from the attention to history. Therefore, studying the historical changes of rural school space has great significance for the development of contemporary rural society.According to the overall development of the rural schools in China,my study will divided the historical change of the spatial distribution of rural school process into five stages : Before Founding of New China(before 1949),The Foundation Stage(1949-1965),Abnormal Stage(1966-1976),Clean and Recovery Stage(1977-1984),The Comprehensive Reform Stage(1985-1999)and Layout Adjustment Stage(2000-present).This study selected the Western Guangxi as the research object, using a combination of qualitative research and quantitative research,to research the spatial distribution of rural schools in various historical stages.Qualitative research embodied in the description and interpretation of historical data, and quantitative research is reflected in the statistics and analysis of relevant indicators of rural schools, teachers, and students in the west of Guangxi.According to collecting historical about the development of rural school government supervision policy that such as text files and materials, and settle number of rural
