The influence of school resource investment on students' academic performance has always been a hot issue in the field of education economics,and also an important basis for countries to formulate education policies.With the increasing demand for education,the imbalance between supply and demand has been widely concerned.Because of the scarcity of education resources,researchers begin to study how to maximize the utility of education resources,so they learn from the production function in economics to study the educational economics and analyze the relationship between the inputs and outputs of education resources.However,the education outputs of domestic research are generally limited to the students' achievement.However,the students' achievement is only a part of the students' study and life.Students' mental health is also a problem that should be paid more attention to.Psychological data is often collected in the form of questionnaires,the data form is discontinuous categorical data.If there is a meaningful difference between categories,it can also be called ordered data.Students' emotions are external manifestations of mental health.To a large extent,it can reflect the psychological condition of the students.By studying the relationship between school resources and students' emotion,we can provide substantial and instructive suggestions for improving students' mental health.The traditional education production function is no longer suitable for categorical and ordered data.We should find a new way to study the relationship between school resources allocation and students' emotion.Based on the thought of education production function and the research results of school resources allocation at home and abroad,this paper determines the specific research contents of education inputs and outputs.By the methods of variance analysis,correlation analysis and factor analysis,the variables of education inputs are determined,then analyze output efficiency by using ordered logit regression method.One of the purposes of the study is to find out the main related factors that affect students' emotion.Secondly,establish a model to explore the actual influence of education resources inputs on students' emotion.Thirdly,explore the actual impact of students' emotion on the basis of empirical researches.This paper puts forward a series of relevant suggestions for school administrators to allocate school resources reasonably.The dissertation is composed of three parts.Part one includes first three chapters.This part elaborates the research background,summarizes the existing research results,and is the theoretical support of the research.The second part consists of chapters 4-6,which is the core of the thesis,which researches the establishment of hypotheses,the design of methods,the selection and optimization of variables.Finally,the relationship between school resource allocation and students' emotion is studied by using ordered logit regression model.The data source of the empirical research is a large-scale tracking survey project designed and implemented by National Survey Research Center of Renmin University of China-China Education Panel Survey.The third part consists of chapters 7 and chapters 8.This part first summarizes the results of the second part of the empirical research.then considering the difference between grade seven and grade nine,corresponding suggestions of school management are given,which can provide the decision basis for the middle school administrators to change the allocation of resources and improve the quality of education.The main conclusions and corresponding suggestions of the empirical study are as follows:(1)There is no significant difference in the emotional status of different genders in grade seven,but there is a significant gender difference in the emotion of students in grade nine.School administrators and teachers need to pay attention to the gender difference of the students.(2)School administrators and teachers should pay close attention to the emotional problems of students in grade nine in order to avoid more serious mental illness.(3)The gender of teachers has a significant effect on the emotion of students in grade seven.The possibility of improving students' emotion grade increases 50% when increase a standard deviation of the proportion of female teachers,so we should consider increasing the proportion of female teachers in grade seven.(4)The improvement of teachers' quality will significantly improve students' emotion.The proportion of teachers of qualification,or of senior level and above,or of more than ten years teaching experience rising one standard deviation,the possibility of emotion improvement of grade seven students increases 39%,42%,17% respectively.For each increase in the proportion of teachers with more than ten years of teaching experience,the possibility of emotion improvement of grade nine students increases 35%.(5)The construction of school buildings and facilities can significantly improve students' emotion.The construction of the gymnasium increases one level,the possibility of emotion improvement of grade seven increases 11%.The school material resources which have significant influences on the grade nine students are dormitories and psychological counseling rooms.The construction of dormitory and psychological counseling room rising one standard deviation,possibility of emotion improvement increases 9% and 15% respectively.Schools should guarantee the use of the gymnasium for grade seven students so that students can exercise to relieve bad feelings.ensure the accommodation condition of student dormitories,so that students can get adequate rest.Set up psychological counseling room and equipped with professional personnel to provide psychological counseling to students.(6)Considering the students' personal and family factors,school financial resources have no significant influences on the students' emotion.If the school administrators make decisions aimed improving students' emotions,they should pay attention to the human and material resources rather than the financial resources.
