Research On Health Management Of Staff And Workers In Huazhong University Of Science And Technology

Colleges and universities take on the important function of training the high-level talents of the country,which determines the future development of the country.As the cornerstone of the development of colleges and universities,the new force of scientific research,the faculty and staff are also the disseminator of culture,science and technology,and the guide of higher talents.A healthy body is the basis and the necessary conditions of college teachers who are committed to education.The physical condition of teachers is not only directly related to the work of individuals and schools,but also inevitably affect the process of China's education modernization and social development.With the accelerating pace of the reform and development of the school,the faculty and staff are facing increasing pressure of work,appeared the phenomenon of less leisure time,the lack of health intervention and health guidance,poor health,general and serious sub-health state,and even the phenomenon of premature death.The study of the health management status of the faculty and staff in Colleges and universities is of positive significance for the management of the school,the popularization and promotion of health management,the improvement of the health of the faculty and staff and the intervention model.This study used the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview,mathematical statistics and logical analysis and other research methods.We sampled 514 faculty members in our university,covering all departments.The research from the current situation and university management of faculty and faculty and staff in four aspects respectively,including the management,school hospital,departments and sports department.It conducts statistical analysis of health condition,lifestyle,awareness and motivation.By Summarizing the basic situation of health management of faculty and staff,finding patterns and problems of school health management,analyzing the motivation and consciousness of the faculty and staff,we would find and refine the way to improve their health status and promote their movement.Through the survey,we found that there are the following behaviors that affect the health of the faculty and staff in our school.Such as irregular diet,reasonable diet structure;the poor quality of sleep,disordered rest,work load,mental stress,higher proportion of smoking and drinking in males;fewer,shorter and poor performance of physical exercise,and oblivious sub-health state.Faculty and staff have higher health awareness,but lack of physical exercise consciousness.Most faculty and staff have regular physical examination,however,they have little knowledge of how to manage their own health and lack of scientific health knowledge and effective exercise guidance.In the current school health management the attention from universities and departments leaders are essential.The existing health management mode in Huazhong University of Science and Technology is carried out centered on school hospital,which is responsible for faculty and staff's physical examination,disease screening,intervention and tracking as well as other management work.Departments are responsible for the health management and tracking of faculty and staff,the union is in charge of sports organization and funds management,and sports department is responsible for events and activities organization,fitness guidance and training work.A lack of cooperation between departments and organization from decision makers and other issues are existed in the current health management mode,the later period has the huge development space.This study takes the perspective of all departments of the school,based on the analysis of the specific situation,consciousness and motivation of the faculty and staff,analyzes and summarizes the current situation of school health management,finds out the advantages and disadvantages of management,which are helpful to the development of countermeasures and improvement.At the same time,this study not only has great significance to promote the health status of the staff,but also has a positive significance to the research and development of health management in Colleges and universities.
