At the stage of compulsory education,students' scientific thinking ability has always been a hot issue in the field of physics education.The country's emphasis on the education of scientific thinking ability is also unprecedented.It has implemented scientific curriculum reforms,combined with PISA,TIMSS and other large-scale evaluation concepts,and launched reform plans suitable for their own national conditions.Looking at it,most programs put the cultivation of scientific literacy at the core.The core link of cultivating scientific literacy is scientific inquiry,and scientific reasoning is a very important link in scientific inquiry.Both the "Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards" and the "General High School Physics Curriculum Standards" have put forward specific goals and requirements for cultivating students' scientific inquiry and scientific reasoning ability.Physics is a basic course of natural sciences,and it has always undertaken the important task of cultivating students' scientific reasoning ability.Therefore,it is very meaningful to study the concretization of reasoning ability in physics and the physics deductive reasoning ability.The junior middle school stage is an important stage for students to learn deductive reasoning in physics and to develop their deductive reasoning ability.Therefore,this research focuses on the physics deductive reasoning ability of junior middle school students.On the basis of reading a lot of literature on physical thinking and scientific reasoning,clarify the cognitive process of junior middle school students' physics deductive reasoning ability,and put forward a theoretical model of junior middle school students' physics deductive reasoning ability.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the existing scientific reasoning ability assessment tools,aiming at the teaching reality of junior middle school physics education,this research developed the junior middle school physical deductive reasoning ability assessment tools,and used the tools for a small range of tests,the model and tools were verified.This research is mainly divided into three parts.The first part is theoretical discussion and model construction,the second part is the development,modification,testing and analysis of evaluation tools,and the third part is the conclusions and reflections of research.First,theoretical discussion and model construction.First of all,based on extensive literature research,a theoretical discussion of junior middle school students' physical deductive reasoning,including the value,characteristics,and types of physical deductive reasoning,and the cognitive process of junior middle school students' physical deductive reasoning,is presented in this study.The cognitive process of reasoning mainly includes five main stages: deductive reasoning problem representation,deductive strategy conception,premise deduction,drawing deductive reasoning conclusions,and evaluation and adjustment.Next,in accordance with the element analysis method of ability,the characteristics of the physics department are used as the internal basis for element extraction and model construction,the elements of physical deductive reasoning are used as the explicit representation of the construction model,and the internal logic of deductive reasoning is the implicitness of model construction.In consideration,a theoretical model of the physics deductive reasoning ability of junior middle school students was proposed.Physical deductive reasoning ability is divided into deductive reasoning situation understanding ability,reasoning element extraction ability,organization coding ability,deductive strategy selection ability,premise deduction ability,process evaluation ability and adjustment and correction ability.Secondly,the development,modification,testing and analysis of evaluation tools.Combining the above theoretical models,established junior middle school students' physical deductive reasoning ability assessment indicators,compiled physical deductive reasoning ability level test questions based on the indicators,and tested the model,distributed questionnaires through the Internet,and used statistical software SPSS 26.0 to pass reliability and effectiveness.Degree analysis combined with statistical methods such as T test and analysis of variance to conduct in-depth analysis and discussion of experimental data.After data analysis and processing,understand the status quo of junior middle school students' physics deductive reasoning ability,and the correlation between each sub-ability,and combine the text analysis of interviews and subjective questions to get a conclusion.Thirdly,research conclusions and reflections.Through research,it is found that the overall physical deductive reasoning ability of junior middle school students is in the developmental reasoning stage,and most of the sub-reasoning ability is at an intermediate level.The ability of process evaluation and adjustment and correction is relatively low.Students' physics deductive reasoning ability is obviously positively correlated with physics scores,and has little correlation with Chinese and mathematics scores.There is no significant difference between different genders.The father's education level has no significant influence on the junior middle school students' physical deductive reasoning ability,but the mother's education level has a significant influence on the junior middle school students' physical deductive reasoning ability.And peer behavior has a great influence on junior middle school students' physics deductive reasoning ability,including communicating reasoning questions with peers and watching reasoning novels and cartoons together.There is a high correlation between the sub-competences in the theoretical model,which shows that the setting of each sub-reasoning ability is reasonable and the theoretical model is reliable.This research is based on the theoretical and practical research on the physics deductive reasoning ability of junior middle school students.It is expected to develop a tool for evaluating the physics deductive reasoning ability of junior middle school students in line with the educational background of our country,and help science education researchers and teachers to understand the current status of the physical deductive reasoning ability of junior middle school students,to carry out physics education and teaching activities more effectively.
